"Had a small patch of drywall which needed to be replaced. Ivan called, scheduled a visit, and provided a quote all in the same day I listed the project. One of his workers, Ricky was able to come in and perform the work that same week. Ricky did an excellent job and both he and Ivan were professional and friendly. Will definitely hire them for future projects."

"Hired this company to help update my kitchen cabinets. The owner was very good to work with, very accommodating and the crew were amazing! They kept the areas around them cleaned up and respected the home. The cabinets turned out incredible. Very nice finish, they look like glass they are so perfect! Added 2 rooms to be painted which both were done timely and again clean and professional and last had them update our wood fence. Needed to be pressure washed, stained and sealed. Again a great job done. No complaints. Would highly recommend this company for any needs you are needing around the house. Hard to find professional, clean and all around good people and this company had it all! Will be using them again in the future."

Small jobs welcome

"I am extremely pleased with the work done by Jude and his company, Beautiful Things Drywall, LLC. His cost estimate for our project came in more than 30% lower than other proposals. He was prompt in arriving to begin the project, and completed it over the span of two days, as promised. His work is top-notch, and he did a good job with clean-up afterwards. A few days later, we asked him to return to skim mud over the air bubbles that appeared after sanding, which he did the same day that we contacted him. He's been in the Drywall business for 18 years, and the high quality of his work reflects this. He will certainly be my first call if I ever need additional drywall work done on my home."

Small jobs welcome

"SWL Construction completed the drywall taping and mudding on time and the results look great! The finish they provided to the ceiling also looks great. They kept the dust and grime contained and thoroughly cleaned up after the job. We liked the work so much we asked them to prime and paint for us too. They have very reasonable pricing and are very responsive and accommodating."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

If the holes in the plaster are small, you can fill them with layers of patching plaster until they’re filled. After it dries, you can sand the plaster and paint over it. If the hole is much larger, consider using bonding plaster first and then a layer of patching plaster, completing the process with sanding and a layer of paint.

Brick and stucco are a lot more different. You must use picture hanging clips designed for brick walls, or use a plaster rail system with adjustable hooks. Any other type of hanging hardware will cause damage to the bricks behind. You won’t be able to really use nails, either, because they’re not strong enough to go into the bricks.

Drywalling a garage is a smart decision if you want to protect your garage from fires, moisture damage, and exterior noise. Most garages have flammable supplies that could result in serious damage in the off chance of an accident. Drywall is fire resistant, helping to prevent fires from spreading. Not to mention, drywall can improve the appearance of a dingy, old garage.

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.

If your home’s foundation shifts slightly over time, any seams in the drywall represent the weakest point in the wall, leading to cracks. If your home has significant changes in temperature and humidity, this can cause the drywall to swell and contract slightly, causing a crack at the weak point of the seam. If your drywall installer did a poor job securing the panels to the wall studs, this could cause a weak layout and cracks in the seams.
