"DO NOT HIRE THEM!! Their supposed "window professionals" sub contractors installed our bathroom window the wrong direction and we can't open it, so I am going to hire another company to fix it as I don't want to work with them anymore. They didn't double check the window size on a very large window before tearing old out and then realized window was bigger than opening. I had no choice but to allow them to cut bigger opening because siding that was scheduled couldn't go on until windows were finished so I was charged additional fees for their mess up. A lot of the "unforeseen issues" were from the subcontractors not double checking things or communicating with us in regards to the windows and doing things to run up a bill and I am being screwed over. 3 trips to do 6 windows because they only worked 4 hours a day. Also pulled old windows and just piled trash and broken glass from old windows in my front yard for an entire weekend until a different roofing sub contractors crew came following week and they cleaned up the window mess. Only thing done well was the siding and siding crew."

"Superior work from start to finish. I had very little idea on what I wanted for my kitchen remodel. I just knew I wanted it to be perfect. Nick took all the guesswork out of it for me. He drew up a design and gave me ideas based on what I described I was looking for. Nick even met me at the store to help me pick out my finishings! Every detail from the hinges, to handles, backsplash and granite Nick helped me pick out. Beautiful craftsmanship, I’ve never seen anything like it and he even threw in some extra surprises!! You do not get quality or service like this at a big box store or from other contractors. My kitchen is absolutely stunning and anyone that has ever seen it is amazed at the beauty. I’m looking forward to the future projects we have planned. Nick will be the only contractor that I ever hire going forward. I even fired my husband! I had an exterior door installed as well. What we previously had was an inswing door installed backwards so it swang out. Sagging floors, large cracks in your walls, and uneven door frames are three signs that your floor joists need to be replaced. You may also notice squeaky floorboards, windows that no longer close correctly, and stairs that sag on either side. You'll need a structural engineer or floor contractor to confirm whether the floor joists are the true problem behind these issues.

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.

Cupping and bowing are both types of wood warping, but they affect the board in different ways. Cupping happens when the edges of a board curl upward or downward, creating a concave or convex shape across its width. Conversely, bowing is when the board curves along its length, forming a gentle arc. 

There are a few options if you miss a stud. You can simply patch the hole with spackle, sand it down, repaint it, and then find the stud—essentially starting over. If you don’t want to do that, you can insert one of the more robust drywall anchor options and hang your item on that, but that will only work if the drywall is in excellent condition and the anchor is rated for the weight of the item you’re hanging on it. You may be able to cover the hole with the object itself once it’s mounted, but it’s still recommended to at least fill the hole to protect insulation and prevent vermin from entering.  

Whether or not you can fix water-damaged baseboards depends on the extent of the damage and the baseboard material. Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) baseboards cannot be repaired once severely water-damaged—you’ll need to replace the damaged sections with new baseboards. Wood baseboards may be repaired if the water damage is minimal and only affects a small portion of the baseboard.
