"I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.

"Jim and his team checked out my furnace setup, made a few suggestions about moving some items around for better furnace access (not affecting his install) and completed the installation within an hour.  They spent time to explain the care and maintenance of the new appliance and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves.

He was on time (within the 2 hour window agreed upon), courteous and thorough. After he installed the unit in a timely manner (my 3 yr son thought it was really fast) he explained how to operate it efficently and gave tips for optimal wear and tear, very professional and thoughtful (above and beyond if you ask me)! He also left the work area very clean, unlike some install experiences we've had. We would definitely call SOS again!!!"
