"Eric @ Dreams Scape responded to my service request promptly, after another service provider failed to show and stalled my project. He came out to review the work needed and we had an agreed price and a schedule the same day. The Tree was out 2 days later & my project was back on schedule. Stellar work and professionalism from Dreams Scape."

"Dayton was Absolutely Awesome to work to with! I will be honest and say I stumbled across him after spending hours on the internet & phone speaking with very well known companies, but with also very rude customer service! After an exhausting day of getting no where, Dayton had replied to one of my many online quotes for tree removal I had requested and he came out the very next day! He was polite, he was punctual, he had great communication and the work he provided was beyond excellent! I also canâ t say enough about the meticulous cleanup job that he did. I was concerned there was going to be quite a mess because we do have a dog, but he did AMAZING!! He also recommended some trees we could plant in the spring, so we are also going to have him come back out to help us plant more trees to replace the ones he had to take down."

"I needed a sprinkler system blowout and soon. I decided to take a chance on a new company that does the work. Total Turf was the first one to call me back. Luckily for me Nick was great. He set up a call back to schedule the job. Josh arrived at the house on a day that I anticipated it was going to be rescheduled. Rainy and cold! But it was handled well with no issues working on a new customer's system. As a result I will be a Total Turf for years to come. Thank you guys for all your work!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Tree pruning is a common and helpful tree maintenance technique that involves carefully cutting and trimming unwanted branches so that the tree can continue to grow and thrive. Pruning is done carefully and intentionally. Tree topping is a frowned-upon method that involves removing and cutting most or the entirety of the top of the tree, including structurally important branches.

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.

Often, it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to handle the aftermath when a neighbor’s tree falls on their property. But if a tree has been obviously dead for a significant period of time and caused damage when it fell, a case can be made that the owner should have removed it, especially if the neighbor wrote you a letter about the tree or asked you to take it down. This can be grounds for a successful lawsuit in claims court and is a good reason to always pay attention to your trees and remove dead trees before they fall.

Not all leaning trees are dangerous, but they can be a hazard as gravity may eventually cause them to fall. A key factor is whether the lean is new or has been present for a long time. Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not typically an immediate danger, but a sudden lean is a cause for concern as it often indicates weakening roots. If a tree is leaning more than 15% from vertical, you should consider having it straightened or transplanted. To be safe, it's always best to hire a professional arborist to inspect any leaning tree to assess the risk and avoid potential accidents.

In nature, there are many things that can cause a tree to die, including diseases, insects, and natural disasters such as fires or droughts. Non-natural methods of killing a tree include herbicides or manual intervention, such as cutting it down. Consult a tree removal professional about your options for naturally killing a tree.
