Concrete Contracting both Mudjacking and new Concrete. 2 Owners, Randy and Phil, with over 35 years experience each.
"This is the third time that I've used this company to adjust my almost 70-year old driveway. Each time the response to the initial call has been timely. They raised the sunken part of the driveway and angled it for rainwater flow. The crew were friendly, explained what was to be done before they started and, when done, showed me what had been done and allowed for any comments. Good clean-up too."

Our business has been family owned for 40 years. We bid our own jobs and our company completes the work. Our owner is on every job! We work with a 5-7 person crew to control the quality of our work. We specialize in concrete driveways, sidewalks, patios, decorative, stamped, color concrete, curbs, footings, & commercial projects. We arrive on time, work hard, and clean up our projects upon completion. KALI will do the little extra's because we care about the work we do. It would be our privilege to discuss your upcoming projects. Let our professionals help you cross these projects off your to do list!
"Excellent, hard working, efficient, easy and fun to work with, enjoyed watching them work as a well oiled machine! Kali removed existing asphalt Driveway, concrete sidewalk, two concrete patios in backyard and replaced with concrete. They also fluffed up the grass with leaf blower that had been matted down by plywood planking they put down to drive equipment over. Troy offered to also buy lunch for my wife when leaving to buy lunch for his crew. Job was completed in three days."

We've been installing concrete, brick, and stone in the Twin Cities for over 80 years. Our employees have been with us an average of 20 years.
"We chose Hage to replace our concrete steps because we thought they would be a trustworthy company. Mike Hage told us he wasn‘t sure they would get to our project before winter but we could put a 10% deposit down ($595) to hold the price for next year. In retrospect, that should have been a red flag because every other contractor we talked to wouldn’t take any money until they showed up to do the job. We ended up changing our plans before Hage even scheduled our project— still telling us they might not get to it until next year. We asked for our deposit back and he said no, essentially because in a document they sent us (but not the contract we signed) it stated that deposits are nonrefundable. We asked if he would please consider a partial refund, as I can understand the time it took to give us the estimate (even though those are free). He replied saying that our $595 deposit doesn’t even begin to cover the work their office does “printing photos, making job packets, and purchasing the permit.” I asked if any of that work had even been done considering our job wasn’t even going to be done until next year. He replied saying, “I am your salesman not the owner or your scapegoat. Please direct any further inquiries to the office directly as I have no knowledge of what has or has not been done-which makes no difference anyway.” Shocked by this rude and inconsiderate response. No accountability from Mike Hage of Hage Concrete. Hope this review prevents someone else from getting swindled."

Gardner Construction, Inc., now employee-owned, provides expert concrete installation, foundation repair and other concrete services. We have built a solid reputation over 30 years based on our professional craftsmanship, reliability and outstanding service. We take pride in every job and stand behind our work.
"The patio extension looks nice and was completed quickly for a good price. My only complaint is that with the wet weather the day before they left behind some significant ruts in the lawn. I'll have to rototill and re-seed those areas later this summer."

Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
The average cost of mudjacking is around $5 per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8 per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.
In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.
The cost to install a concrete driveway is $4 to $15 per square foot on average. Your price heavily depends on your desired concrete finish and driveway size.
For a driveway that is 200 square feet, you can expect to pay an average cost of $1,900. For a driveway at double that size (400 square feet), the average price is closer to $3,800. Plain concrete is significantly more cost-effective, averaging $7 per square foot, whereas stained concrete averages around $19 per square foot.
The cost of resurfacing concrete is $6 per square foot on average, though that cost can range from $3 to $9 per square foot.
For a driveway that is 200 square feet, you can expect to pay $600 to $1,800, and for a driveway that is 500 square feet, that cost averages $1,500 to $4,500. Resurfacing your driveway will give you the look and feel of a new surface without the hefty cost.
