"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

"Great Eco-friendly service! Easy to sign up, and gives better results than big box DIY lawn fertilize plans. With our heavily treed and sloped yard, they also helped aerate and over seed annually, and Sunday gives the nutrients our lawn needs to get lush results!"

Ted Stoke, was great, right on the day he said, and he controlled his crew to my wishes!!

They work crew were there the same day I got the estimate.  I was totally blown away, I had not even had a chance to clear off my deck as I was at work.  The crew carefully took all the things off my  deck and put them in my yard. They were there 3 days, and came back one more day to finish up the underneath trim work.  The deck came out looking great!  Very nice painting, didn't miss a single spot. Now my slab window under my deck is sealed up tight to keep animals from there and there is lattice covering underneath the deck

Great Job, I will probably have them back in the future as I have more things in mind.

"Some ornamental bushes in my front yard were damaged when they dropped the heavy branches on them. The long branches were left without cutting in half, so they were hard to move. They had to call in a 3rd party to finish the work in the back as the 1st tree trimmer did not have proper equipment. They came to do the work in time manor."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Prompt leaf removal prevents wet leaves from suffocating your lawn and creating severe slip-and-fall hazards on steep Duluth sidewalks. Clearing debris protects local storm drains from flooding and reduces overwintering habitats for ticks. Long-term, consistent yard maintenance prevents winter turf kill, saving you from difficult spring reseeding. Removing diseased leaves also stops fungal infections from spreading to healthy trees and shrubs during the short Minnesota growing season.

Helpful?

Hire local professionals who understand the compressed fall timeline and book early in September. Verify the contractor carries general liability and workers' compensation insurance, which is mandatory under Minnesota law. Ensure they have the right equipment to safely navigate steep hillside terrain and retaining walls. Finally, confirm they dispose of yard waste at an approved composting facility, as street dumping and burning are strictly prohibited in the city.

Helpful?

Your Duluth property requires dedicated leaf removal if you live on a hillside, have an established lawn, or sit near mature oaks and maples. Sloped yards accumulate heavy debris from uphill neighbors, increasing the risk of blocked storm drains and damaged retaining walls. Look for recurring bare spots in your grass, past ice dam issues, or leftover matted leaves in the spring to confirm your yard needs immediate attention.

Helpful?

After completing leaf removal, give your MN lawn a final mow to about two inches to prevent snow mold. Apply a late-season fertilizer before the ground freezes. Clean your gutters thoroughly to prevent winter ice dams, which are common in this climate. Finally, inspect your retaining walls and downspout extensions for proper drainage before the freeze. Dispose of your bagged leaves at an approved local composting facility.

Helpful?

When planning leaf removal in Duluth, consider the steep hillside terrain and the compressed fall season. Snow often arrives by late October, so complete your yard work early. Wet leaves from Lake Superior fog make the job heavy and hazardous. You must also follow local rules: bag leaves in compostable bags since burning is prohibited. Keep storm drains clear to prevent localized flooding and protect the lake.
