We had Roger and several other masonry contractors out in the spring to give bids on the above described work, and were surprised by how high all the quotes were, so we decided to hold off doing the work until later in the year. While Rogers Masonry was not the lowest of the bids, it was competitive. But what really made Roger stand out over the several months between bidding and hiring was his clear knowledge about, and genuine passion for, the work that he does (he's been in the business since 1976 and his lead crew member has been with him for 20 years!). But even more impressive was Roger and team's vast experience working on grand homes throughout the historic Cathedral Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul, and the fact that they actually enjoy working on these older homes?a quality that's increasingly difficult to find in contractors anymore.
