Very uneventful (that's a good thing). The technician arrived as scheduled. I showed him the main breaker box and he proceeded to take off the front panel cover. He then pulled one breaker, installed the small surge protector beside the breaker box and tied the protector into the breaker panel, replaced the cover, and left.
The technician wasn't very informative. I asked several questions about how the surge protector worked, the ratings on the protector, when/if it will need to be replaced, and how to identify a problem with the surge protector.. He didn't seem to know. No information was provided on the warranty. The "Big Deal" stated the unit was covered by a warranty as well as some (apparently not all) appliances or devices inside the home. The paperwork wasn't any help either.
I never received a signed work order. I have nothing showing the date of installation, part number or serial number of the installed component, the installer's name, or cost. Climate Doctors were initially contacted for the Energy Audit. Paul arrived on time on Thursday, January 15th and went through everything the audit would entail. He started with the attic, checking the interior HVAC system components, ductwork, ventilation, and insulation. He then checked the exterior HVAC units, soffit vents, and windows/doors. Paul then checked the house interior for thermostat installation, major appliance ratings, vents, hoses, and various other things that could affect my energy usage.
Once the audit was complete, Paul went through his findings with me in detail. He provided a prioritized list of things that needed to be done to improve the energy efficiency of my home. He provided a quote for each item on the list and his estimate of the energy savings for each item. Paul also provided a list of "Energy Efficiency Lifestyle Changes" that I could do myself to help improve the energy efficiency of the home.
Based on some research I had done prior to the audit, the quotes were very reasonable, I decided to contract Climate Doctors to perform the first two items on the priority list: install additional insulation and repair the ductwork in the attic. This was then scheduled for the following Monday, January 19, 2015.
The two-man crew arrived on time Monday morning, They went to work immediately on the ductwork. This was completed very quickly and they then started the blown in insulation.
Everything was completed in a little over one hour. They cleaned up the little mess created, went through the work completed, explained the invoice, collected the amount due, and were on their way.

I didn't know what to do so called Golden Fowler management for service the first week of September. The servicemen came out on September 15th and agreed that the foam has broken down but weren't sure if they could correct the leather. They contacted Smith Brothers of Berne Indiana who refused to honor their warranty. In winter 07-08 furnace malfunctioned, wouldn't start automatically and had to be reset manually to get through the night. We had 5 HVAC professionals, including Climatron, inspect the furnace. The first HVAC firm came and inspected furnace. He looked at soot visible at vent and saw the soot at the furnace water drain and the orange flame and said we'd have to replace the system. He advised that we go back to Climatron and Lennox and seek help from them as the furnace was only 7 years old. I contacted Climatron and explained the problem and pointed out that the exhaust vent from the furnace was visibly full of soot and dripping water and that the flame was burning orange. Climatron sent a technician out. He proceeded to dismantle furnace and exposed the soot covered part. He called Lennox company to discuss with service agent. They basically said tough luck, if we wanted to clean furnace it likely would cost nearly as much as replacing it and would likely not function properly. Climatron charged me $220 for the service call and while the service technician waited, sent a sales manager to our house to give an estimate for replacing the system. We then asked three other HVAC professionals to inspect system and advise us. They agreed that the furnace needed to be replaced and were all surprised that neither Lennox or Climatron offered any help financially to offset the costs. We decided that we'd prefer not to engage Climatron's services and would contract with a local HVAC firm. Prior to removing old furnace, the installer checked the gas pressure at the furnace. It was lower than specs called for (9.5 vs 10.0 inches column/H2O). In addition, the horizontal portion of the auxiliary vent fan was not level and held water. More problematic was the discovery that the horizontal portion of the exhaust vent from the furnace was sagging for several feet before exiting the wall and held enough considerable water. All of this piping had to be removed and the wall was capped. The vent was redone vertically straight up from the furnace. The water heater also was malfunctioning. The installer thought the exhaust runs were too long and not providing adequate capacity for ventilation. The exhaust vent was redone vertically and the water heater now works perfectly. We informed Climatron of the problems we uncovered. They responded that their \"job supervisor checked over the installation and found no problems\". And that \"Antrim County mechanical Department inspected the installation and approved the final inspection\". (department was dismantled and taken over by State of Michigan shortly after!). We much money undoing Climatron's work. Their written response to my complaint was to point out that their sales rep came at no charge and that their bill for diagnosis was justified. They argued poor maintenance was the problem. I feel both Lennox and Climatron acted unprofessionally and irresponsibly."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mi/traverse-city/climatron--b-f-s-i-reviews-478098.htm"},"position":10}]}

They were accommodating, professional, and very thorough. This was following an estate sale, so they had to move some remaining things around. No problem! They cleaned lights, fridge, baseboards, cupboards, and the place shined! Would definitely hire again!

Heavenly Heat Infrared Saunas are made for the chemically sensitive. That means that our infrared saunas create an ideal, safe, and effective detoxification environment for anyone seeking to eliminate toxic substances from their body.
"Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above."

"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.
"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

FAQs for appliance sale projects in Thompsonville, MI
If you’re debating whether it’s worth repairing a damaged appliance, consider a few factors, including the appliance’s age and the cost to replace it. Large, high-value appliances are worth repairing, especially when the fixes are minor and the appliance is only a few years old. However, if the cost of repairs is more than half the price of a new item, then it may be worth replacing it. For example, if your refrigerator repair costs continue increasing and add up to more than 50% of the cost to replace it, you’re better off buying a new one.
In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
There are a few scenarios when replacing all kitchen appliances simultaneously makes sense, including major renovations, moving into a new home, or purchasing as a set. If you want to refresh your kitchen upon move-in day or start over during a renovation, consider purchasing and replacing your kitchen appliances at once to save on labor costs. Also, if your appliances are all original to the home or are older and require increasing amounts of maintenance and repair, replacing them all at the same time may be a good option.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
