It didn't cost us anything because we have a home protection warranty with the utility company here in town. They were actually sent out through the program to look at the air conditioning and provide any recommendations and stuff. We're trying to decide what kind of unit we want to get. They were here earlier than they said they would be. Everything seems to be working fine. They seemed to be very diligent, they took time to explain everything to you.

They came on Wed, replaced the hot water heater and checked the air conditioner and cleaned the ducts. On Thursday, they installed the furnace, humidifier and thermostat. Furnace SUPER quiet, before we had some rumbling, always knew when it was on and when it was off. Hot water heater heats at a much higher level than our old one.
Thought the job would take two days, they worked hard and got it done in two days. Cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant and able to answer our questions. Am very very happy with the work and thought the price was fair. Great Job!!!!

They did some other work before that on our furnace. The gas company sent them out because I had a contract with the gas company and I would say they are good.

Service was great and timely. Sheren had to do some follow up since one of the remotes they ordered came from the manufacturer incorrectly but they handled it all and hand delivered the remote to our door. Very professional and nice every time I've talked to them.

This provider promised they would provide a free estimate of the cost of repairs for a home that I had just bought. Also, they said that they would not charge their Traverse City rate of 75 dollars per hour for labor in the manistee area. Come to find out later they only charged 74 (technically, it wasn't 75) dollars per hour for each employee in manistee. Then I was contacted afterwards and told it would cost 300 dollars to fix the showers and snake the drain. I paid it. Then they say that they need to replace a portion (about 5 feet of PVC) and it would cost 400 dollars. Once again, I paid. Then I get two more bills in the mail for another 900+ worth of supposed charges. Argued with the company as they would not provide any details of what the charges were for. Currently, I am in the process of taking this company to court. Please, please, please, take knowledge from this post and look for anyone else on Angie's List because this company is by far the biggest rip off and waste of money you could choose.

First the repairman spent considerable time on the phone coaching me through attempting to fix the condition myself. There was no charge for this time. His excellent advice was great, but the problem was beyond a self fix. They came out in less than an hour on a Sunday morning. At each step the repairman showed me what he was doing and the parts of the job that were maintenance I could do myself. He knew the furnace very well and his procedures were very methodical and efficient. A furnace breakdown on a cold Sunday became a very nice experience. Awesome!

They originally installed the HVAC system in my home in 2006. My system failed mid-January and they came out and determined that it needed a new capacitor and hard start booster, however they only had the hard start booster at the time and installed it at that time. A couple weeks later they came back and installed the new capacitor, then the compressor fried. Then when I inquired about having this fixed, they said it was out of warranty, which is a lie and I believe they are responsible. I found out it has a seven year warranty. Additionally I had the system inspected and they notified me that the coil was leaking as well after the third technician came out. They misdiagnosed the problem, misinformed me about warranty, and were not flexible and not willing to work with me and provided me misinformation. At the end of this entire situation, they sent me a letter stating they refuse to work on my HVAC system any further.

THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WITH SHEREN HAS BEEN VERY GOOD. THE FIRST EXPERIENCE WAS WITH A TECHNICIAN (BRANDON, I THINK) WHO WAS FANTASTIC. HE WAS HONEST AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. IT BECAME APPARENT THAT OUR BEST OPTION WAS TO REPLACE RATHER THAN REPAIR FOR THE COTTAGE THAT WE HAD PURCHASED THE SAME DAY WE MET WITH BRANDON!
AFTER DECIDING TO REPLACE WE DISCUSSED OPTIONS AND PRICING WITH HEATING AND COOLING CONTRACTOR WE USE AT OUR YEAR ROUND HOME. HE FELT THE PRICING WAS FAIR AND AGREED WITH ALL RECOMMENDATIONS.
ONCE WE HIRED SHEREN THEY GAVE ME A DATE THE WORK WOULD BE STARTED AND COMPLETED (ADAM IS GREAT, AS WELL). WE WERE NOT THERE DURING THE WORK (WHICH IS UNNERVING FOR US) BUT ARRIVED TO A NEW FURNACE, CLEAN AIR DUCTS AND NO SIGN THAT THEY HAD BEEN THERE OTHERWISE. IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND I WILL USE SHEREN AGAIN.

Brandon was the service tech who arrived promptly, was professional and pleasant.
He quickly determined the problems regarding the 2 leaks. These were fixed and then after he finished the other items, he double checked them which did require additional work on one issue. He completed this work before he left.
He offered advice on furnace maintance, the water heater and additionally detected noise from the water filtration system, where he recommended a remedy for.
We are very pleased with the service and professionalism.

The workman arrived on time, were professional and did a thorough job of cleaning the furnace. During the service call they discovered a new burner was needed. They showed me the burner and only charged part of the fee for return to the shop to get a new burner as they didn't have one on the truck.

I talked to 6 plumbers before hiring Sheren. The bids were all over the place, from 1700 to 6800 just to replace the new line--the other work was not included in these bids that I ended up having Sheren do. Sheren's bid just to replace the line was $3100. They were not the least expensive, but they communicated very well and told us exactly what they would do. We have a 60 year old home with a small crawl space that provided some problems in terms of access. Several of the other plumbers would come out of the crawl space scratching their, heads and with puzzled looks on their faces. Sheren was able to evaluate and make a plan and communicate it to us. I like to know what is going on and they kept me informed the entire time. Four of the other plumbers gave estimates for their best case scenarios. Sheren's bid was what the job cost and it wasn't an estimate.Three men came to do the work--Tom, the plumber, Rodney and Walt. They worked well as a team, were professional and friendly--a delight to work with. They used a mini excavator to dig down 5 feet from the sidewalk around a huge maple tree, around a large front porch and to the edge of the house. Then they shoveled into the crawl space from outside and laid copper line to the meter inside. They added 2 hose bibs, one new one to the front and replaced one old one in the back. They replaced or cut off and capped old lines in the house, eliminating all the galvanized pipe and replacing it with either copper or PEX. Tom is a great project manager and the men working with him were very respectful. I can't say enough good things about Sheren. Just go with them.
