"Homeowner here... I can't properly explain how absolutely thrilled we are with the work that Bronson and the Brawny Builders have done with our lake cottage. Last summer, we started with a plan to simply paint the exterior. But the project slowly unfolded into something much larger. Bronson is not just a general contractor - he became a close and trusted partner throughout the entire project. He is full of creative and thoughtful ideas that enhanced the project at every step. He provided us with constant and detailed communication. His team worked with us to make sure that every detail was right. Here are a couple of examples where Bronson was able to improve the design or save cost: ** We did not want to expand the footprint of the house and add that cost, but we could not figure out how to layout everything we wanted. Bronson cleverly reused an old set of concrete stairs as the foundation for a washer/dryer stack. It was a great solution that worked out fantastic. ** We had wanted to add a half bath for years, but Bronson figured out a way to add a FULL bath. In addition, the new bathroom was connected (jack and jill style) to the main bedroom to create a master suite. It only cost one additional door, but it is now WAY beyond what we imagined. ** We originally wanted to build a deck on the front of the house, but Bronson helped to create a design for a covered porch with vaulted ceilings and a clever lower surround that blended with the lake environment. ** We found a number of structural issues with the old house during demolition. Bronson developed very clever and cost-effective ways to resolve floor, wall and joist issues. ** During each phase of the construction, Bronson developed thoughtful and clever touches. The lofted garage included an old second floor door for ventilation, and Bronson designed a design the new door that retained some of the prior feeling with a new and fresh update. ** We wanted to retain some of the historical feel to the interior, and Bronson cleverly retained some of the original paneling without feeling overwhelming. He framed the wall to make it a focal point without looking old. It is one of my favorite parts of the house. The lake cottage has been in our extended family for almost 50 years. It has been a great retreat for us, but it is now a proper home with personality and functionality to match. This project has literally transformed the house. We would highly recommend Bronson and Brawny Builders for any remodeling project. We were lucky to find them."

"It was a steady process. Of course there were hiccups along the way, but with Renaissance & myself working as a TEAM on this project, everything was done & done well. I do believe that is KEY on any project, especially one of this size. I told Jamie at the beginning of the project that communication was VERY important to me. Jamie was quick to address any questions or concerns I had. He picked up my calls every time. I will hire Renaissance Restoration for all home improvements and/or updates."

"I hired JLM Home Solutions to install all my interior doors and closets including frames/casings in my upstairs. Jason was a horrible person the entire time I hired him. He acted like a nice person just to get hired. I regret hiring him. Unfortunately I had signed a contract by the time I found out he was no good. Every time I brought up something that was not done right, he’d yell and raise his voice at me. He’s very rude and unprofessional with the worst customer service. He was rude on text, rude on phone and rude in person. Jared, I guess one of his employees was a great person, very polite and did an amazing job. He worked on the project in a professional manner. He didn’t come back though to finish the project because Jason sent another person instead, David, who did an awful job. Jason didn’t want to hear it that David’s work was not the greatest. I had to put a stop payment after I found out one of the closet doors wasn’t installed right and other things that were wrong. Jason got so upset that he had to come back to fix the problem after I told him I didn’t want David. Jason came to my house but failed to fix the problem still. Instead he made me feel threatened in my own house. He was all in my face yelling at me saying nothing was wrong with the closet. Even my little dog was scared. I had to call my daughter and son to come over because I was so terrified that he was maybe going to hurt me. I stayed on the phone all the time while he was there so someone could hear his abusive behavior. That day after Jason left, I had to get a second opinion on the closet. Another contractor couldn’t believe the way the closet was installed and for Jason to insist it was okay. He left the old frame on and didn’t want to here when I mentioned it. I’ll have this closet removed and a new one with new frame installed the right way. I had to insist Jason deduct some money for that closet from the balance owed to him. A couple of days later, I noticed my kitchen door they installed still had cracks on the inside frame close to the lock. I had mentioned that to him. I texted him to let him know with pictures showing the cracks. Now Jason won’t respond to my text, email or phone. I asked him to send one of his guys to fix the door. Not him because I don’t want him around me. I’ve tried everything to get to him. I know he’s ignoring me. I paid him so much money for this project. If I don’t hear from him I’ll have no choice but to file small claims. He cannot leave my door like that after I paid him so much money and thinks he can just get away with it. If there was an option of zero stars, that’s what I’d have given JLM."

"This was a bathroom replacement. I could not select that from the menu here. The quality of workmanship was quite poor for the price. I complained to the company and they sent someone to look at the work. He agreed that it was not up to their standards. I let them know I didn't want it redone and have my only bathroom out of comission for several days. What I would like was a refund. Nothing happened. I was not followed up with despite multiple calls to Lindsey. I've felt too dumb for paying $11,000 for this shoddy job to post this review. I hope this is helpful to others who are making decisions. This space is not large enough to list all of my complaints or all of the photos. Please see my google review."

"Fantastic fathers/son duo. Took about 3 weeks to include gutting down to the studs, building partial wall, reenforcing floor to accommodate curbless walkin. Dual shower heads. Meticulous. I have never seen a more beautiful shower! Lines straight and squared. They even made sure the rocks on the tile floor were even!!! Thank you Gil Sr & Jr. we are thrilled and exceeded all expectations!"

"Tauschek-Hill Construction completed our new Deck install and a Brand new bathroom in a timely manner and we couldn't be happier with the results!! Let's begin with the removal and install of our brand new deck. We had issues finding anyone who would even come out to give us a quote, we contacted Tim and he was here within 48 hours to do a thorough quote. The thing I appreciated most was his advice and kindness, from quoting to completion. They met out deadline, and the deck exceeded our expectations. My wife and I now call it our favorite area on our entire property!! Now to the bathroom, both my wife and I have parents that have disabilities, making it a challenge since both of our bathrooms were on the 2nd floor. We connected Taushek-Hill Construction and let Tom know what roadblocks we were up against. He came up with multiple options, many we had not even thought of, to make the area handicap accessible while keeping the cost to a minimum. From flooring to installing a new vanity, drywall, new fixtures, and a pocket door (Which saved us tons of space!!). Overall, the work was completed on time at an affordable price and we are ecstatic with the results. I highly recommend Tauschek-Hill Construction and plan on using them for any future projects. 5-Star ++++!!"
