"We did a bathroom remodel with Brawny Builders. It went great. Bronson and his hard working crew arrived promptly each day and did all the work as promised and always cleaned up their mess. They tore out our old shower and closet and replaced it with a large ceramic shower and a new floor. The bathroom is beautiful and we love it. We would not hesitate to hire them again and would very much recommend them."
"When we signed the Matrix contract in June 28,2018 for basement work we were told it would be done the end of October or the first of November 2018. We told them that was good because we go to Arizona the end of December 2018. When we left all that was done was rough: framing, plumbing, electrical and ceiling. In May 2019 Matrix started work again and finally June 17, 2019 the final inspection was done. If Matrix overbooked jobs, Matrix should let the customer the customer know and not leave them hanging. Being overbooked was probably why the drywall job and the soffit run to cover the ceiling beam was less than professional. We give the following grades: grade A to the project manager, the other work teams. grade C to Matrix as a company. Thank you, Jack and Bonnie Childs"
"They were prompt for both the quote and the work. They identified fixed 3 cracks in the basement. The work was done well (3 rainstorms later and no water in the basement) and the clean up was great. Everyone was very professional."
"I called American Basement Solutions with issues I was having in my crawl space and they set up a time for someone to come out and look at the issues. Daniel (a family member of the family that ownes the business) called ahead of time and let me know when he was on his way to my home, He was on time and did a thorough investigation of my crawl spaces after which we discussed what needed to be done and various options to accomplish what I wanted. I was provided with a written estimate, insurance information etc. We scheduled the work at a mutually agreed upon time and his men showed up on time and went right to work completing the work on time. There was a minor issue with some slight damage to the edge of my cedar siding from the removal of the old crawl space entry. I sent Daniel a photo of the damage via text message and he called me within 15 minutes to discussed a course of action to take care of this, We set a time and Daniel personally came out and took care of the issue. I was happy with the work he did. I had estimates from 2 other companys prior to contacting American Basement Solutions and found American Basement Solutions to be very competitive with their price. I liked that that they were a locally owned family business and found their assement of what needed to be done very thorough. I would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them to others. "
"Prestige General Construction incapsulated my crawlspace that smelled moldy . Full of spiderwebs and dust. They did an amazing job. The incapsulation really cut down the musky smell in my basement and home. The crew was professional respectful and on time. I would hire them again and would recommend their services to anyone."
"Alberto was able to complete the entire list of tasks I had left for him and his workmanship and pretty good. He patched, sanded and painted all the holes in the walls. He connected the water and ice maker to the frig and installed two bi-fold doors in the basement. "

"Amanda was really very good! At first I was very skeptical, thinking why did I pay money to just speak with someone on the phone about my kitchen remodel project... but after just a few minutes of her addressing some of the issues/questions I emailed to her earlier, I knew it was worth it. It was very clear that she knew her business and she gave me several ideas that I had not even thought about. I told her that I would definitely recommend her to friends and I will very likely use her again myself for my next home project!
"Simon and team did an outstanding job in transforming our home by performing a full remodel of multiple rooms including our kitchen. We couldn’t be happier with the results!"
Costs are guided by renovation scope, materials chosen, project duration, structural needs, and labor. Prioritizing tasks prevents unforeseen expenses.
Installing a bathroom in a basement isn’t a project for most homeowners. Many parts—plumbing, electricity, and carpentry—go into this project, each requiring expert-level knowledge and tools. One miscalculation can lead to very expensive repairs. Plus, some homeowner’s insurance might not pay for damages caused by a homeowner DIYing this project. You can protect yourself by allowing the pros to complete this job for you.
Yes, barndominiums can have basements. Barndominiums are typically built over concrete slabs, so barndo basements are not very common. However, it is possible to include a basement in a barndominium blueprint as long as you’re building completely from scratch. Barndos can have the same types of basements as traditional homes, including full or walk-out basements.
Yes, in most cases, finishing a basement is worth the cost. The project adds valuable, usable square footage to your home and typically provides a return on investment (ROI) of 70% to 75%. For example, an average basement refinishing project costing $32,000 could add between $22,400 and $24,000 to your property's value. The final value added depends on factors like your location, the quality of materials and workmanship, and the features you include, such as a living space, bedroom, or bathroom. To be officially counted in your home's total square footage, the finished space must comply with all local building codes, including requirements for points of egress. However, in areas prone to flooding, a finished basement might be seen as a liability by potential buyers and could potentially decrease your home's value.
Efficient appliance positioning, optimizing existing plumbing, and sourcing energy-efficient materials reduce financial impact and increase sustainability.
