"We had water leaking through the frame of a basement window. Scott came and give a free estimate and did not oversell. Told me exactly what needed to be and the price was very reasonable. Scott also did some work on our garage and has always been prompt, professional and very easy to talk to. Would definitely recommend Scott for any basement repair needs."
This is pretty typical of what you see when you open a floor. A great deal of water I see that concrete floor!
With the previous work, they had used a garden hose to try to guide the water to drain tile. Seven out of 10 of the garden hoses were clogged with stone. If someone talks to you about using garden hoses as a part of the project, move on.
After cleaning the crack, we install ports that we will inject our polyurethane foam that expands up to 20 times, filling the crack from the inside all the way out to the outer wall.
Not every home has a “true footing”. In this case, while the wall didn’t look great it was extremely solid, so it made for a very smooth project from beginning to end.

"The price was fair. When they originally came to do it, there was not enough road gravel down so we had to have the other guy come back and redo that. We kept getting a promise date and then they wouldn't show. It took a while to get them back so we were a little disappointed with them. We couldn't reach them. We would leave messages and they wouldn't call back. Since we missed our first opportunity, then we got pushed back and they took care of the other places. They should have responded and let us know. When they finally did come the crew was great and the finished product was good. The pricing was in the ballpark. This was set up through our contractor. They did finally come when they said but it took 3 times. We might look for somebody else in the future."

Brick veneer siding is also a long-lasting material, with a lifespan ranging from 50 to 100 years, provided it is properly installed and maintained. To maintain brick veneer, you should scrub it annually with a special detergent and a soft-bristled broom. It's also important to inspect the bricks and mortar regularly and hire a masonry contractor for any necessary repairs, such as fixing worn mortar or bowing bricks.

Drilling into brick or mortar requires the use of a masonry drill bit. Masonry drill bits appear similar to standard drill bits except for the leading tip of the bit. The tip has a bulky carbide arrow-shaped end slightly larger than the rest of the bit shaft. Standard or high-speed drill bits designed for making holes in wood or metal don’t have the ruggedness or design shape you need to drill into brick. They may not go through the brick at all, and if they do, they’re more likely to overheat, crack, or dull before you finish drilling.
