Small jobs welcome

"From the moment we met Dave Scott, we could tell he is a true craftsman who takes great pride in his work. His bid was a little higher than the others we got, but it was clear the work would be top quality. He took the time to explain everything he thought needed to be done in detail and why it was important to do it. Dave's operation is small -- himself and three very experienced roofers do all the work, and their emphasis is on quality all the way. Dave insists on using only the best materials and on taking the time to make sure the job is done right. He ran ice and water guard underneath the siding and used a special high quality underlayment. Dave also uses a small dumpster for disposal of materials to avoid damage to driveway and lawn. Also takes great care to protect landscaping and siding from damage and makes sure everything is cleaned up thoroughly when the job is done."

Treehouse Builders questions, answered by experts

Don’t forget to factor in the climate where you live during the planning stage. If your area is prone to bitter cold and heavy snow, you might want to invest in stronger greenhouse materials like a concrete slab, steel frame, and glass walls or plan to take your greenhouse down for the winter.

The only real drawback to green building is that it’s more expensive up front, with per-square-foot prices sitting 33% higher than what you’d pay to build a traditional home. The higher cost is due to more expensive building materials and more labor to ensure every aspect of the home is as efficient as possible. However, green buildings often save money in the long run, so this is just a temporary downside.

Painting countertops can take a few days to complete yourself. However, keep in mind that it can take up to 14 days for the sealer to cure. So, you want to make sure you wait the manufacturer's recommended amount of time before using your countertops after painting them.

Increases living space and adds value to the home through enhanced utility.

One handy thing about whole-house dehumidifiers is, once installed, you don’t have to worry about placement or changing the dehumidifier’s position. But if you are using a portable dehumidifier, we suggest keeping it away from walls, vents, and furniture. It needs a central, unobstructed spot with access to lots of air to do its job.
