"My husband and I recommend Cain Design for projects big and small. Scott Cain was the project lead for a full gut and rehab of our Northport, MI home. From cinderblock and studs, the team transformed a former farm pickers dormitory (that most would have torn down) to a one-of-a kind custom home. Scott saw to every detail and personally built many of the custom features. His web site features many photos of our custom cabinets, bunk beds and shelves. Scott has a wonderful way about him and he tackles problems with great energy, listening, creativity and joy. He loves his work and it shows in his beautiful results. Hire him!"

"Prompt, courteous, explained in advance what they would do and they did it. Our first experience with them was when they climbed up on our roof in a rainstorm to fix the leaking roof. They needed to construct a roof drainage cricket which we greatly appreciated them doing in the rainstorm. Next, they replaced 4 rotting posts that were holding up our 2-story porch deck, replaced some rotting porch deck frame joists, and all the decking on the same porch. When replacing the rotting posts, they poured concrete piers for the posts to rest on above ground, rather than just sinking them into the ground as had been done for the initial rotted posts. Finally, they replaced one exterior door and also a very heavy double French door. They always hauled away the debris and were very friendly and knowledgeable.
