Meaning there is more room for correcting errors while leveling whereas if foam were used once the foam is injected it’s set. Limestone is much more forgiving until it sets. Great Company! "

Concrete should be at least 2 inches thick to maintain its stability and quality. Most concrete slabs fall between 4 and 6 inches thick, but you should be careful not to make the new slab too high or heavy. Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

The repair method for a damaged concrete patio depends on the type of damage. For surface cracks, a concrete crack filler is a quick and simple fix. For larger cracks or uneven slabs, you may need to hire a professional to pump a cementitious material under the sunken portion to lift it back into place. For heavy spalling and other surface damage, resurfacing may be the best and most affordable option. This includes pouring a new layer of concrete over the old layer.

Small cracks should be filled with a flexible crack filler, like a rubberized asphalt-emulsion crack filler or a flexible masonry crack filler. Larger cracks need something a bit more solid to prevent further movement and to avoid having to use too much of the flexible filler. For concrete, you can use a concrete backer rod while asphalt can handle sand, gravel, or even dirt.
