I had a really old front door that was not insulated and they put in a new one with plenty of insulation. They also put in a new storm door and a garage side door that meant making a new doorway that's sealed properly. They answered all my questions and were respectful of the property"

"This is our 8th house obviously we have dealt with numerous professional servicemen over the years. For estimates on these current jobs I had to go to electrician, plumber, painter, drywall men and a general contractor, Not discussing the estimates we were give (outrageous) but each call was a minimum of $125 just to open the front door from each. The standard line was. "Well you have to understand this is the busy time". BS! After looking on Angies list we tried AL Hoppe, Handyman. The ad should read "Handyman Extraordinaire!" After one call Al came to the house. NO COST for the estimate. He was able to make all repairs, some very involved. And stayed within the original estimate. We were very impressed with his knowledge and understandable explanations. He worked for several days and we hardly knew he was here. I from upper New England and am always skeptical. No need with Al. He was truly amazing. There are a few more minor things for Al in this house before we move shortly to a smaller old house. I have already discussed several more projects there and a complete redo of a deck. We cannot recommend Al high enough. Several of my neighbors have contacted him as well for various projects. Up to and including a new deck, and a serious drainage problem. All Hoppe is the BEST!! Take it from a crotchety old timer. Wish I knew about him years ago!!"

Extremely conscientious - takes great pride in his work, wants you to be happy with the results of his work. "Derek and his team were punctual, professional and courteous. I’ve been restoring a 1940 farmhouse for over a year and a half and have come across many handymen. These guys are some of the best. Very easy to work with. Even though this type of railing system was new to them and my un-level lowered ceiling provided some challenges, Derek and team were able to think through the problems and come up with solutions to make the barn door work beautifully. These are fine young men with smarts about them. Hard to find. They are gems. I will be hiring them again for other projects."

"They were very responsive. Installation schedule was faster than I expected (and faster than they quoted). Installation was smooth and took a couple hours. Normal with new garage doors they replaced the door, the springs and the track. My only observation - the clean-up could have been better as there were pieces of debris missed. "We are very pleased with the work that Gary did. He was respectful of my house and environment and always went above and beyond! Example: he’s was here when the pipes froze in our MIL apartment ( we were on vacation) and he stepped in to repair the pipes for us immediately so my 90yo mom wouldn’t be inconvenienced. Another time our dog locked herself in my bedroom and thank goodness Gary was here to get her out! I appreciated that Gary did almost all of the work himself so we didn’t have multiple subcontractors in our house during the pandemic. "I originally hired Charlie to haul away fiberboard panels that had been left in the garage of a house we had just purchased. Charlie was on time and quickly loaded and hauled the panels away for the agreed upon price. I contacted Charlie again to install universal remotes for 3 ceiling fans. After inspecting the locations, he suggested using existing switch locations and subsequently installed 3 fan/light switches - so much better than keeping track of remotes. 
The movers had attached my king size bed frame and headboard incorrectly and it was very loose. Charlie added new bolts and washers to attach the headboard firmly.
In each instance, I was impressed with  the work and with Charlie's professionalism. He is very knowledgeable, his prices are fair and reasonable and he has always been polite and considerate.
I will  be using his services in the future and would definitely recommend  him.
