"Tearing out the garage required cutting the floor along the wall - this was done without issue. Floor itself was demo'd and scrap removed. First section of driveway was also replaced to ensure water flow was correct. Floor looked great once they were done. Would use again if/when the rest of the driveway is replaced."

"Thoroughly enjoyed working with Bradley through the process of scoping the job, picking out the right materials, and job execution. Bradley and Kevin were there when promised and worked very hard with perfection. Pictures attached show the before (Brick) and after (Tumbled Blue Stone)"

"They were very efficient. Had a large crew and were able to remove and pour the driveway in one day. They came back the next night to do the cutting. They told us they could do it the middle or end of June, but actually were able to do it at the end of May. Wonderful to work with a company that does what they say they can do. We thought they gave us a fair price, We are very happy with our new driveway. We would highly recommend them."

"Curt was very helpful in explaining the work to be done and designing the plans. He made sure to explain everything that needed to be explained. He made sure to work within my budget and was even able to get the project done way sooner than I had anticipated. They always called whenever Kurt was on his way out to let me know exactly when heâ d arrive to discuss the quote. The crew was very friendly and explained how the project was going whenever I checked on them. They even spent their own time edging my driveway whenever they had some downtime. Just overall a very pleasant experience working with the whole team and I will definitely keep their info for if I ever need any additional work done"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

A driveway approach is the part of a driveway where the public road meets the private driveway. This section contains several key elements, including the driveway apron, the curb cut, and the end slope. Depending on the slope of the driveway, this area may also contain the trench drain.

This creates a risk for your driveway to fail after asphalt curing because it doesn't have a lasting bond with the surface. In order to get asphalt to perform as intended, it's necessary to prepare the dirt surface correctly first. The loose soil base under the new driveway must be compacted until it is stable enough to support the weight of the asphalt.

Gravel is one of the few driveway materials that can handle rain the second it’s installed. Unlike asphalt, which needs days to set, or concrete, which requires weeks to cure, gravel is ready as soon as it’s compacted. It’s naturally permeable, allowing water to drain straight through—with no risk of pooling or surface damage. Gravel driveways are one of the most affordable, at $1 to $3 per square foot, and can also last upward of 100 years.

New asphalt goes through two stages: drying and curing. Drying typically takes 24 to 72 hours, after which the surface is solid enough for light use like walking or careful driving. While you may be able to park on it after 72 hours, the surface is still soft and should be treated gently. Full curing is a much longer process, taking anywhere from 30 days to a full year for the asphalt to reach maximum strength. During this extended curing period, the asphalt is susceptible to damage from heavy vehicles, sharp objects, and high temperatures. Factors like weather, the specific asphalt mix, and application thickness all influence drying and curing times. For the most accurate timeline and to ensure the longevity of your new asphalt, it is always best to consult with your installation contractor for their specific recommendations.

Asphalt is not a type of concrete. While both are a common type of pavement, asphalt is composed of aggregates (like sand and gravel) and bitumen; concrete is a mixture of cement, aggregates, and water. Here are some of the key differences between asphalt and concrete driveways.
