"24/7 dispatch always keeps you informed of when when the crew is on the route and gets it done. They even show me the photo of the job done while I am in Arizona so I know my house is safe. I am signing up again this season. eat flat rate. I know they will come and use snow-blowers. 2 years ago my concrete driveway was cracked by a plow truck. Thank you, Angels!!"

"These guys are GREAT!! Not only professional but kind and courteous. Our driveway is long and diamond shape, our sidewalks were iced over, time and time again and the crew from 4th and Inches lawn done such a fantastic job, you would have never known our home hadn't been plowed since the beginning of winter. I highly recommend Dennis and his crew. Any job, big or small this crew can handle. Also, Kim the secretary, very professional and kind. We will definetly be using 4th and Inches in the future!! "I hired Brock to do a small landscape project at my daughter?s home. He met me there looked over what I wanted done and gave me fair price. He can back and completed the job when he said he would and in a timely manner. He cleaned and removed weeds, edged, planted the bushes improvised, laid a weed barrier and then munched. I have also hired him to do a mow and weed whacking job along with hauling some brush to the curb for pick up. He is a hard worker and does a great job."

"They were great, the man did the job, got out. In the winter, when lot of snow was still in the ground of water against the basement and we have a poured foundation, it had leak, they had stopped the leak we had. They did what they pledged to do. They were here on-time, they got done quickly and then they went and the overall seam link that was leaking was about 7 feet from upper part down to the ground, and we are very happy. They did the work they promised to do on time and on budget."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

The best time to buy a snow blower is typically around May to early June. This is when most manufacturers introduce new models, and quantities are limited—once early summer rolls around, the focus shifts to lawn mower production. As the new models are released, you may find a wider selection of models, potential discounts or clearance sales on older models, and greater availability, ensuring you are well-prepared for the upcoming winter season.

The cost to purchase a snow blower ranges from $100 to $2,300 on average, depending on the make, model, type, and age of the machine. More advanced two-stage and three-stage models, which are often self-propelled and include features like power steering and heated hand grips, can cost between $950 and $1,500 or more. If you only need a snow blower temporarily, you can rent one for an average of $75 per day from a local hardware store or rental facility.

Before firing up your snowblower, ensure that essential switches are in the correct starting position. Take a moment to double-check the throttle, fuel shut-off, and choke, ensuring they're firmly set to the "on" position. Precision in verifying each switch's alignment is crucial, so don't rush through this critical step.

If you’re looking at how to remove snow from solar panels, heat from the sun usually melts the snow within a few days. However, snow removal might be necessary for winter solar power production in areas with deep snow during the winter. There are brushes with telescoping handles and gentle heads to brush away snow. It’s best to stay on the ground if possible and avoid using tools that could scratch the surface of the solar panels, like a snow shovel or broom.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams, but the best thing to do is address insulation issues in your attic. If you do decide to remove the snow manually, you should always use a roof rake rather than a shovel. You shouldn’t climb your snowy roof in any circumstance, and roof rake allows you to remove the snow from the ground or a ladder. For the best results, remove snow as soon as possible after it falls.
