"Excellent! Even cleaned off the minimal debris on the roof to keep the gutters from getting dirty again. I am also rehiring then to install “boots” over my cracked vent pipe to prevent leaks, good job!"

"They were great, the man did the job, got out. In the winter, when lot of snow was still in the ground of water against the basement and we have a poured foundation, it had leak, they had stopped the leak we had. They did what they pledged to do. They were here on-time, they got done quickly and then they went and the overall seam link that was leaking was about 7 feet from upper part down to the ground, and we are very happy. They did the work they promised to do on time and on budget."

"It is going fine for now. Ongoing during snow months. Currently everything is wonderful as really only snowed when parking lot was empty and not needed immediately. Will see how it all works out once people back in parking lot and snow removal becomes more complicated. But, I'm very pleased with work so far. The property is a sorority house - ergo - once students back in house will need ice and snow controlled quicker due to safety issues."

I've worked with Travis and Megan for several years.  Most of the time it's fine.  But when there's a problem, their first response is to blame me--with anger.  At one point in lawn care, I asked that the lawn chairs NOT be turned upside down, covered with grass cuttings, left in front of the stairs to enter the house.  Pretty reasonable request.  I was told that I was asking too much--they couldn't make money when I asked for more.  I said i was happy to PAY EXTRA to have the place look nice when I returned.  They never responded.

Today I sent a note that the driveway was completely torn up after plowing.  I know it was a difficult and wet snow (and I wrote that), but there were 8 inch ruts dug into the drive, and there were piles of dirt (rather than snow) all alongside the driveway (which was plowed so narrow I couldn?t actually drive it).  I sent photos, and said I wasn?t sure what had happened, but that I?d like them to come and take a look because it seemed that parts had deep snow left and parts had dug up the driveway where there wasn?t much snow.  The response was that they weren?t going to go around and around about this.  They?d gotten stuck (no one told me!) and there was a problem with the driveway.  They wanted to part ways.

It?s pretty hard to work with someone who can?t negotiate, can?t take a look at a job that?s not done well or that a customer isn?t satisfied with.  Rather than working WITH a customer, Travis and Megan seem determined to be right.  Most of the time they are.  But when they?re not, there?s no room for customer care or customer satisfaction.  That?s a problem.

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it’s worth it to pay for professional snow removal. You can shovel the snow yourself, but it’s very labor-intensive and puts you at risk of injury or illness by performing exhausting manual labor in slippery conditions. Paying a professional removes that risk and saves you time and energy. Depending on your agreement, you could wake up to a cleared driveway and a car that’s ready to drive rather than have to get up early to do the work yourself.

Ice dam removal is costly, but it’s absolutely worth it. If you leave an ice dam as is and don’t take care of it, you’re looking at potentially dangerous situations and high-cost repairs—like roof collapse, leaks, mold problems, gutter damage, and more. Removing ice dams is essential to keeping your home and your family safe in the snowy season.

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.

If you live in a cold climate with frequent heavy snowfall, investing in a snow blower may be worth the cost. Another thing to consider when factoring in cost is if you have physical limitations that make shoveling snow difficult or even dangerous. So, you may want to start shopping around for a snow blower if you have either or both of these scenarios.

While DIY is possible for small areas, professional services provide fast, efficient removal for large properties or heavy snowfall.
