"I am extremely pleased with the quality of their work and the professional yet personable demeanor of Daniel Brooks and his staff. I used Angie's List and a couple other resources to select three companies to request project suggestions/price quotes from. I chose Brooks Landscaping due to the company's favorable reviews/recommendations as well as Daniel Brooks' patience with my many questions, the details he provided on how the job would be handled, and that he respected that I had a specific budget that I needed to work within. Dan explained/offered several options. In both instances that Daniel Brooks came out to discuss the job, he was punctual and was especially helpful and informative. The project itself took two days, as they expected, and it was started on the day they promised. Dustin, the foreman, is very articulate, detail oriented, respectful and easy to work with. "I called at 10am and they were able to fit me in that morning because they were in the area. Lee cleaned out the fireplace, while Kevin installed caps on the roof over the chimney and furnace vents. Lee removed TWENTY dead birds, nesting materials, and other debris. He said the fireplace is in great shape; Kevin said the chimneys looked good, but warned of a tree that's very close to the vent which can affect draft. They helped me find the on/off valve for the gas (we are new to this house so did not know where it was). Lee left the family room spotless and both he and Kevin were very knowledgeable and professional about everything. I would definitely recommend them for all chimney needs.

"Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.

"Gary removed an old wall a/c unit and used old bricks we had to fill the resulting hole.  The work was done at a second house we are renovating, and Gary was very professional in the contacts and in setting expectations.  The first time we saw the completed work we were extremely happy with the outcome.  Gary then indicated that he wasn't done and had some clean-up to finish on the brick-work--we would never have known it wasn't completed if he hadn't called.  He takes great pride in his work and it shows!  A month after the work was completed and it looks completely original.
