They arrived exactly on schedule and installed Christmas lights along most of the ridgeline of my house. They omitted one small section and I didn't look quite right. I called them and they were back the next day to include the missing section.
Three lights burned out over the length of the holiday season. When the first one went out a day after installation, I called Xtreme Lawn Care and they were out within the hour to replace the bulb. They replaced the second two bulbs proactively. I noticed two lights were out late one night. It was too late to call at that time, but when I did call about 4;00PM the next day, I was told that they had already been replaced. I cycled the lights on, and, "let there be light", everything was great. I'm guessing that they cruise around the neighborhood and look for problems. Very nice touch.
It went well, no unhappy surprises. It was a large project, and Mike was responsible for the major portion. He and his crew installed the boiler, the piping, the slave hot water tank (a.k.a. desuperheater or something like that), and the hot water tubing -- some laid down on the floor from above, some stapled from below, depending on whether or not the flooring was going to be replaced. I ripped up the carpeting in the dining and living room and pulled the fasteners out of the subfloor. In this area the tubing was installed from above. I decided not to resurface the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms, and in these areas the tubing was stapled from below. The house has an addition -- a laundry room, about 300 square feet in area -- and the floor sits above a craw space. Here the tubing was stapled from below, the installer having to crawl around in cramped quarters and pretzel himself into position to put up the tubing. People who know about these things (including a building inspector and a friend who is a pipefitter by trade) have all praised the quality of the design, the layout, the components, and the workmanship. The system performs very well. Even though we've had an unusually cold winter thus far (I'm wiring this on March 1st, 2015), the house has been very comfortable. Nice, even, silent heat. Even though the design goal was to keep the main floor of the house warm, the downstairs is warm too (the tubing is essentially in the ceiling on that level). There is a small office on a third floor, and it is fairly warm also -- often about 60 degrees even though there is no heat directly applied (a future project). The laundry room remains 40-45 degrees as planned (warm enough to prevent pipes bursting [again]). Heat bills have been very reasonable, even lower than expected. According to DTE, my natural gas heat bills are about half those of the average house of similar size. All in all, I couldn't be happier with Mike, the quality of the work, the performance of the system, and the operating costs. I wish it had been cheaper upfront, but I have no regrets on that front either.

"they came a day late and unprepared to repair the dryer despite knowing all of the specifics of the dryer. They never called back and when I called them, they wanted $480 to replace a $50 belt. I bought the belt myself and replaced it. They came to my house for 5 minutes and just looked at the serial number and left. They charged my $190 for this 5 minute visit with virtually no work performed."

The fridge is using too much energy and seems to run all the time
Loud and/or unusual noises
Possible causes include:

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
The average cost to repair an appliance depends on the appliance, make, model, the part that needs repair, and how long it takes to replace or repair a part. The following are the average repair costs for the most common appliances:
Refrigerator: $200–$300
Freezer: $90–$500
Oven, cooktop, range: $100–$500
Microwave: $50–$400
Dishwasher: $160–$300
Garbage disposal: $70–$250
Washing machine: $50–$450
Dryer: $100–$400
Appliance repair contractors may charge $40 to $120 per hour for labor, and most also provide the replacement parts necessary at an additional cost. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays and emergency fees may apply if you need your appliance fixed immediately.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
