"On the morning the work was to be done, the people from Guardian came and began breaking up the concrete to put in the pipe to the pump. A while later, the people came who were going to remove the oil tank. They drained it and cut it in half in order to take it out the back basement door. Then the Guardian people continued their work and were finished the same day. (I was a bit concerned about the amount of fine dust that was in the gravel they surrounded the pipe with. I was worried it might clog the openings to the pipe. They told me it would wash away with the first heavy rain. This work was done about a year and a half ago and everything has been working fine.) They picked up when they left, so that the basement was as clean as could reasonably expected, considering the amount of work that had just gone on.
