"Home security has never been my favourite topics, at first a bit confusing there's network apps, motion sensors and connected door alarms all of which seem to work flawlessly together. We called two places ADT Authorized Dealer - Safe Haven and New Security INC. Bill Wood from ADT Authorized Dealer approached us in August 2019 after buying new house. Many of us have had that one teacher who makes it all click together they are often energetic and fun seemingly always at the top of their game. Bill's smile, genuine personality and willingness to teach difficult subjects to us made him the clear choice a 2nd time this summer when we installed ADT. We feel great knowing who to call and who to let in our house when we needed them. Communicating via text message and follow ups afterwards were "Better than Expected"! "SECURITY WINDOWS AND DOORS: I have spent a LOT of money putting in security windows and door as my home has been broken into many times while Charlie was here. I have had 2 companies, a local was fantastic but expensive yet worth it. They can no longer find someone to make security windows After contacting others who stopped calling (Medallion) when the 3 window job looked not worth the effort, I found Michael Byers on HOMEADVISOR/Angie's List. It is in Gaithersburg; he came right away to measure my windows; he special made one window for the cats so they can get their fat butts through. Windows are usually about $650 each but he charged $1000 for 3 windows and installation -- and they are the fancy windows. I was shocked and they were installed within a week. He has a factory where he makes the doors and windows himself. My HD door lacks were awful. On 3 doors, he installed new deadbolt and handle locks for a little over $200 -- including installation. The doors lock wonderfully and I have the same key for all of the locks. His number is 301-252-5117. With so many break-ins in my area, security windows and doors are now affordable."

"I am leaving this review regarding Medallion Security Door and Window Company. In addition, as a customer I rate them with 5 stars. Why? First of all Medallion installed my back security door about 20 years ago, and I still use it, it's a little rusty now but that's due to my neglect. Second, I visited Medallion's show room in late June 2022. Erlin R. showed me around and provided just what I needed in terms of assistance, information and professionalism. Peter, came out a week or so later and measured my front entrance and on July 13th. 2022 Caesar and crew came out and installed front security door. "I very much recommend this contractor! Answers fast, gives extremely fair prices, gives fast appointments AND the show up on time! They are very polite and nice. They also clean up the station after they’re done! I find them reliable, quality work and fairly priced. They also work as long as they need to. For our house they: Fixed the window frames outside because the mortar was broken or eroded and when it stormed outside, it rained inside our house. They changed rotten wood, painted it, cemented places in the brick wall that needed it, put mortar/caulk and sealed 4 windows from the outside. The other project was putting bifold closet doors which included cutting them to size, installing the hardware, and painting them. This was the first time I’ve had to hire someone to fix things around the house that I couldn’t, and I was really nervous. I’m grateful I found Chapin Handyman LLC through Angie’s list! Oh! And they are insured and bonded, too!"

"Not the greatest results - I have used this company before and been very pleased. They were pricey, but the quality of the work was worth it. This was not the case this last time. The technician cracked the door jamb in two places while replacing the door, left paint splatters on the floor and on the side of the door which was not supposed to be painted and messed up the handset on the door. He did repair most of these issues (the paint splatters I cleaned up myself with paint thinner), but since he worked by the hour I ended up paying for that too."

"This wasn’t the first time I used Vazquez & Son. In 2014, they expanded my closet and built custom doors for it. Luis and his team are alway nice, attentive to detail, and leave the work area clean. So, when my bathroom ceiling was torn up to repair a leak I called him immediately to repair and get my bathroom back in order. In fact I had them repaint the whole thing and it looks great. I’m writing this review a year later because once again I have an emergency repair need (broken bay window) and once again Vazquez & Son are to the rescue! I had been traveling out of the country and a guest using my place broke the window. From the airport, on a Sunday morning, I texted Luis a picture of the window and he responded within 10 mins. It is great to have a reliable responsive handyman/construction service provider when you need one. Not all my projects are big money, but it’s my home (1 bedroom apartment) and having things done right matters to me. Vazquez & Sons treats my projects like professionals and never make me feel like small potatoes. I’m a loyal customer, and plan to be, as long as Vazquez & Son is in business."
