"Davon from NextDay Inspect did a very thorough inspection of the home. The day of Davon explained what to expect during the inspection, providing us a verbal summary as he completed review of each section of the home. The report he completed was detailed reiterating the issues he came across noting the risk to the home and health. The report also linked to clear photos of the issues."

"This is the second time I am using Val and his company. Thanks to Val we were able to identify a semi-hidden mold issue in our home from a long-term, slow leak. He was very professional and thorough. I was thankful for the easy-to-read report/test results we received. I would highly recommend Val for your mold testing needs."

"Jon arrived on time and ready to figure out the issue.  He inspected the area in question as well as walked around to be sure there was not another spot that may have mold.  He explained some of the different types of mold as well as what type of test he was going to use.  Any questions I had were answered but I did have very few because of how well he explained the process.  He then set up and took an air sample.  Less than four days later he emailed us the Sampling Analysis and Interpretation Documents.  The documents were easy to understand and he was sure to let us know that if we had any questions to please contact him any time. This day and age, it is very hard to find a company that has the full package. Jon is someone who has reasonable prices, is professional, honest, and kind.  He hits the nail on the head.  Should we run into any issues in the future or one of our friend's have any sort of mold or possible mold then we will be sending them Jon's way.

"The owner, Jerry Stal, provided a competent inspection and assured me that all that my basement needed was a surface treatment. This was inexpensive. He saved me thousands of dollars because the other companies recommended a lot of tear down and other costly actions."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

A septic system inspection costs $100 to $200. Doing so can spot issues early so you can plan for necessary repairs ahead of time and save yourself the issue of a backed-up septic tank. Some septic tank repair professionals do an inspection as part of their yearly maintenance on your septic tank if you choose to pay for that service, but you should shoot to have a septic system inspection completed at least once every two to five years.

Yes, a crawl space can add value to your home. However, there is a higher chance of it adding value if it is an enclosed crawl space, as this reduces issues caused by excess moisture in the home. That being said, a basement does add more value than a crawl space.

Mold inspections are worth it because they can catch troublesome mold problems early before they get out of hand. It's worth it to address mold problems as soon as possible because mold can be hazardous to your health and cause damage to your home and its belongings. Mold testing and inspections are the best way to know if you have a mold issue in your house.

You’ll have to look around the house to find different sources of a hidden leak. Check for water under the sinks in the kitchen, bathrooms, and utility rooms. Look at your bathtubs, showers, and toilets, including inside the toilet tanks. Puddles can form around your water heater, so take a good look around it. Inspect appliances like your washer, dishwasher, and refrigerator as well. Look for stains on the walls and ceilings, and listen for drips and running water.

How long the home inspection takes can vary greatly depending on the size of the home and the type of inspections being done—the same goes for receiving the final home inspection report. Some inspectors are busier than others, so it may take a little longer. Generally speaking, however, you can expect to receive the report within 1-2 business days after the inspection.
