Mr. Taurino reached out to me immediately after I submitted my request on Angie’s List. He was very professional and patient with me because I had a lot of questions about the job. Pleasantly to my surprise JH under the supervision of Mr. Taurino did a tremendously job. They moved and covered furniture prepped the walls by patching all the dents and holes. "I bought a 199 dollar coupon from Angie’s list for 8 hours of painting work. Wilbur was quick and responsive, and came out to give me an estimate immediately. He assured me that painting over my current wallpaper in these rooms would be a lot of work and gave me an estimate of 850 plus purchase of paint. While it sounded a bit overpriced, I agreed. He put me on the books immediately, which I truly appreciated. I even changed my mind about what I wanted painted, and he was quite agreeable to it. The morning off, he was here with two women. They were professional and overall got the job done in a timely manner. However, it is the handling of payment that left me with a VERY bad taste in my mouth. I was struggling with two very small children, and about to leave for a birthday party when he insisted that I pay by check immediately. The job wasn’t finished. I asked if I could send a check by mail, all to no avail. Balancing a screaming baby, I grit my teeth and wrote the check. Frankly, I felt discriminated against. I highly suspect he wouldn’t ask this of anyone who was Caucasian and living in a gated community as I am. Most people would sympathize with a woman in that difficult situation. Also, a spot was missed. He came out to fix that within a couple of days, and apologized for the interaction. He stated many people haven’t paid him, that is why he insisted. And of course, talked over me as soon as my husband came in the room. That’s still no way to treat a young mom and professional who paid for what I suspect is an overpriced job. I’m sure he will deny all of this, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Don’t make assumptions about people when you don’t know them. While he and his crew did a great job, and he will insist he didn’t discriminate because he ‘hires black people’, I’m still very disappointed and cannot recommend him because of this. The truth hurts, sir please check your incorrect biases at the door. I doubt you would’ve done this to a man or a Caucasian, don’t do it to me, either. I have no intention of hurting you or your business, but I hope you keep this in mind during future interactions with other customers. For these reasons, I don’t think we’re a good fit in the future."

"Cindy was fantastic! She listened carefully to my ideas and then excellent advice on selection of wallpaper placement, patterns and coordinating paint color. Her technical skills are excellent and she was efficient and tidy. She also is an excellent furniture painter and painted and bedside table and a chair to coordinate with the whole room!"

"We selected Omar's based on another (retired) contractor's recommendation and on the basis of their work repainting and repairing plaster in the interior of our house, and we're glad we continued working with them. The owner made some good recommendations on the configuration of the bathroom. We did all the shopping for fixtures, tiles, etc., and the cost of those is not reflected in the "Approximate cost of service" field in this review.

The workers were skilled and diligent, and worked very hard. Everything looks great - good job on the tiling and painting, and all the fixture installations are very professional.

The project didn't quite finish at the scheduled time, but some of the delay was due to fixtures ordered from other providers that were damaged when they were delivered to us. Waiting on replacements slowed things down a bit, to no fault of Omar's.

The crews took care not to damage our recently finished hardwood floors, and although moving fixtures through the house inevitably resulted in a few chips in our recent paint job, they did a good job of touching those up.

When we noticed a few details that we wanted done differently, they were happy to oblige."

"Manny was great! Hanged, taped, mudded, and sanded roughly 8.5' X 8' wall that I framed... had 'my studs' not been slightly twisted, bowed and warped the wall would be 100% perfect. Manny's work was excellent and the wall is smooth no divots or gaps. I provided the drywall and corner bead. Will definitely hire Manny again!"

"At the initial visit, Renzo walked through the house with me and pointed out areas he would fix on the walls and went into great detail what would be included in his estimate. I have a two-story condo (apprx 1700 sq ft) with staircase walls the height of both floors, and some tricky small spaces. Also they were covering a dark paint with a light off-white. Renzo also painted the ceilings and trim throughout. It all looks fabulous! The work is high quality and very clean. There were several areas that needed fixed and you cannot tell there were ever issues or holes in those spots. Renzo worked to my schedule, shifting to Tues-Sat to accommodate my work travel schedule. I was very comfortable leaving and came home to cleaned up spaces. My protective dog even liked Renzo :) This was my first experience in a long time hiring for home work, and my experience was wonderful! Thank you!"
