"We had our sofas cleaned by My Carpet Cleaning & Restoration Service. They did a great job, my sofas look like new. They were careful working in the house with belongings and pets (indoor cats). "I had a terrible stain on a couch cushion that had been there a long time. I would have been happy if the result was just that it was not so dark. But he got it out. I can still see it a little, but it is not noticeable to anyone else. He also cleaned the carpet in one room. The technician was very nice and explained what he was doing. It was very clear that he wanted to do a great job, and he did. Also, he arrived on time. I will use them again. I highly recommend them."

In-home air purifiers really do work. However, their value depends on what you're trying to achieve. Mechanical air filters other than those with true HEPA filtration aren't capable of removing bacteria and viruses from the air. However, many of them can reduce very fine particles, including pollen, a known allergen. On the other hand, UV light filters can remove harmful pathogens but can't remove particles.  

Washing your carbon filter can damage the fibers and make it less effective. While removing the dust from the filter gently is possible, we don’t recommend you wash and reuse the filters once they have reached the end of their lifespan.

This method is known as “scrubbing” because it cleans particles from the air and recirculates the air within your space. This method allows you to keep your enclosed garden space sealed from the outside environment.

For washable or electrostatic air conditioner filters, you can soak and rinse them with water. If you rinse the filter with water, make sure to use a faucet, shower head, or garden hose with a gentle water pressure setting, as strong water pressure could damage the filter.

But for disposable filters, water could ruin the filter, even allowing mold to grow in the filter. Instead, these filters should be replaced.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), no single water filter or treatment system can remove 100% of contaminants. To find the best filter for your needs, first determine which impurities are most important for you to remove. For example, reverse osmosis (RO) filters are highly effective at removing a wide range of contaminants, including sediment, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, dissolved salts, and chemicals. However, the RO process can also filter out beneficial minerals like calcium and magnesium. If eliminating bacteria is your main priority, a UV filter could be a suitable choice. Additionally, distilled water is considered the most pure form of filtered water available.
