They did an outstanding job from conception through to the last details in finishing an extensive series of renovations - complete kitchen tear-down and renovation, master bathroom and closet teardown and renovation, two bathroom complete retiling/renovation, building two new rooms out of a very large basement, and replacing two forced air HVAC systems - they managed all aspects including proper construction permits. They did high-quality work at a very good price. They did an outstanding job with the work, with high attention to detail. Their communication was very strong from beginning to finish, their initial plan recommendations were excellent, they made several recommendations to not only make the job better, but also make it more cost effective along the way. They were reliable and consistent, and very genuine, "real" people. I have to imagine there will be very high demand for their services. I can’t recommend highly enough. "Amazing customer service in every way. Polite, professional and knowledgeable. He went way beyond my expectations for our kitchen remodeling job. Very knowledgeable with good recommendations and even went with us to the cabinet vendor to make sure we got what we needed. When he ran a new electrical line for our appliance, he used only the minimum of the expensive wiring and only charged for that part of the roll. That was just one of the many ways he went out of his way to make sure we were completely happy with his service. When he installed the overhead lights he made sure all the details were covered, some that I had never even thought of. I'd give them 6 stars if I could."

"Our family home has always been clean and functional but after thirty years it had become more a picture postcard from the 1980’s than the warm inviting image we had in our mind. It was obviously time to update. Unfortunately, after talking with numerous contractors, it seemed we would have to reduce our expectations or spend more than we had budgeted to afford remodeling our “dining room, living room, kitchen” (and eventually bathrooms too!) project. While pondering our next move a family friend told us they recently had Rohan remodel their kitchen/living space and it looked great and was, they thought, affordable. After seeing for ourselves the quality of workmanship, the improvements to ‘flow and functionality’ and the overall aesthetic appeal, we decided to give Rohan a call. Boy are we glad we did! Upon meeting Rohan for the first time we were shown the same optimism, knowledge through experience, flexibility of thought and dedication to quality that would continue straight through to the end of our multi-week project. His proposal/estimate covered all our wants and needs while fitting within our budget. The job was a total re-do and from floors to walls to counters to cabinets to plumbing to electrics and all were handled by Rohan and his team with time honed skill. The work was done in a timely fashion without ever leaving us wondering where people were or what they were going to be doing each step of the way. Every eventual ‘architectural surprise’ was met with candor, budgeted creativity and a hearty “no problem!” In the end our home was transformed ergonomically, aesthetically and affordably into a beautiful space where family and friends gather in happiness and in harmony with their surroundings. "I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent retaining wall replacement project completed by John Krause Construction (JKC) at my property. After reading positive reviews and receiving an estimate that, although over my budget, seemed reasonable for the work involved, I made the decision to hire JKC. Unfortunately, this has proven to be a significant mistake, and I am left extremely disappointed with both the quality of work and the overall experience. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. Unprofessional Behavior: The crew exhibited unacceptable behavior while working on my property. Not only did I witness them disposing of bodily fluids on-site, but they were also disrespectful and dismissive. when I raised concerns no response was received. I now smell urine when entering and exiting my garage. 2. Unresponsive Ownership: I have attempted to reach out to the owner multiple times to address these concerns and resolve the issues, but my messages have been met with silence. This lack of communication is incredibly frustrating and has only added to my disappointment. The owner refused to speak on the phone since the owner was made aware of the call being recorded. 3. Property Damage: During the construction process, my property was left damaged in multiple areas. This included e.g., landscaping destruction, equipment damage. Personal crew members vehicles being driven through my yard leaving deep tire marks damage. 4. Subpar Quality of Work: Despite the high cost of the project, the final result does not meet the standards outlined in the estimate or contract. No proper grading was completed. Every time it rains pools of water sits in front and behind the wall. The response received was. “we have passed all inspections.  There will be some water pooling while it is settling still. Plus the fact of the hard rain today, it will happen.” The wall has been completed for 2 months. Given the extensive problems, stress and anxiety I have faced. I do not recommend John Krause Construction."
