"Great, Heil fixed the plumbing for my irrigation off the main, it was leaking and a mes. They cleaned it up and installed new PVC. It works great and no issues. Fair price. I'd hire them again. Paul"

"Please replace my prior review with the below: Our 75 gallon water heater needed to be replaced because it was leaking extensively. Mike installed the next day and it was successfully inspected. Mike did a great job for a reasonable price and was very, very easy to work with. The tankless water heater works great ! I would highly recommend Excellent Plumbing for its no nonsense approach to plumbing solutions!"

"Wes came early for our scheduled appointment, and was very personable. He diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate and a discount for Angie’s List. He replaced all the parts and gaskets for the toilet tank. Everything is working great now. I will definitely call Crown Plumber again."

"I think I talked directly to the owner. Porcelite scheduled service within a week. Technician arrived a few minutes early, got the job done, presented the bill and got out of my hair. I didn't even need to move my sink cabinet which is within a couple of inches of the tub."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

There are several types of sink drain stoppers, including pull-out, twist-and-pull, and pop-up. Pull-out sink stoppers can be removed by pulling on the stopper until it comes out of the drain. A twist-and-pull design requires lifting then turning the stopper to lock it in an open position and the opposite action (turning, then pressing down) to close it. A pop-up sink stopper works by pushing down the drain cover to open or close the passageway.

No, you don’t need to use plumber’s putty to install a sink drain. Other options are available, such as silicone putty or silicone caulk. Plumber’s putty is the traditional method and it’s easier to work with and easier to remove. It doesn’t need to dry before using. Silicone putty should dry before you use the drain.

If you know the job is going to be extensive (and you don’t like surprises), hiring a Roto-Rooter specialist may make sense for you. You’ll know how much you’re going to pay right away.

That said, hiring the best plumber isn’t solely about price. If you've worked with a plumber you trust before or have a list of plumbing services you need tackled at your home, working with a plumber might be a better choice for you.

Yes, it’s necessary to have a sink drain stopper. While your sink will still work without a stopper, a stopper is necessary to keep things other than water from going down into your pipes and potentially clogging them. It prevents plumbing problems by keeping out unwanted debris and objects like hair, soap, toothpaste, dirt, and jewelry.

Many parts of your plumbing system can fail, but clogged drains are one of the biggest plumbing problems you’ll likely encounter. From your kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or bathtub, there are plenty of opportunities for gunk, hair, food scraps, and more to get stuck in drains. When this happens, water will slowly drain, leading to standing water, bad odors, drain flies, and other issues.

Many homeowners can handle a minor clog themselves, but if you have a clog in your main line, you’re best off hiring a local plumber to get the drain back to its normal flow rate.
