"After interviewing several companies to have our kitchen remodelled, we selected VKB, and we are happy we did. VKB provided a lower estimate than other companies, and their reviews were good. As our designer, Sean was easy-going, accommodating and patient in explaining our options. He promptly created the 3d pdf files with the design of our kitchen, which were helpful to have throughout the project. Adam was in charge of our project, and his responsiveness and understanding were outstanding. At one point we were a bit unhappy with a corner cabinet, but reluctantly we felt we needed to "settle" because there was not sufficient space for a Super Susan. Adam made some research and promptly contacted us with a solution that was perfect for enhanced functionality. Last but not least, Ismar, our foreman on the job was professional, responsive, pleasant, and amazingly skilled. He and his team worked diligently on the electrical portion, cabinet installation, backsplash, appliance installation, and painting. Everyone accommodated us to the best of their ability and always left our house clean and orderly. Well done, VKB!"

"We needed a wall built to divide a living room/dining room into
two separate rooms with a french door. Justin was prompt with an
estimate and the work was done on time. The wall was built, the french
doors installed and everything painted properly. There was an issue with
the placement of the doorknobs (due to the uneven floors in the house)
and Justin came by a few days later and corrected the problem. We were
very satisfied with the work and we are likely to use this contractor
again in the future.

"I bought a house in 2021 that had significant water damage leaking through the walls onto the concrete floor in the basement. After researching multiple companies around the area, I reached out to Basement Gurus. Ashley, Boni, Josh, and owner of the company Dan Kelly, all went above and beyond to make sure that there would be no more water damage. They installed a French drain, vapor barriers, and more. I found them through Angie's List. The actual quality of the work was poor. They were friendly and easy to work with; I liked the people, it just the worked s*cked. The basement still is not dry. To get a higher grade they could have better quality of work. For $8,000 they came out and installed a sump pump and did not install an outlet or even run an extension cord. This was in an investment property and they never even tested it to see if it would work. The concrete was not smooth and the cracks were not filled in. They did not do a good job. It was no better than it was before.

"The crawlspace in our recently purchased house was a mess—full of water, mold, and deteriorated insulation. NV gave us a competitive price, on par with the other bids we got, and their bid seemed more comprehensive than some of the others. Jaime did an excellent job explaining everything to me and talking me through any questions we had. Once the work began, Manny and the rest of the guys did a great job—they were on site promptly each day and were clearly working hard over the three days of the project. "Dan understood our problem did not need trenches and pumps inside our home. Our hill-side home didn't need a sump-pump internal system - drains run to daylight. His gang hand-dug an external trench, laid in perforated drain pipe and silt barriers and drainage gravel. They repaired cracks in the foundation, dried it, applied a drying rubbery material, then installed a dimpled drainage barrier cloth. They graded the earth around the house to aid rainwater runoff. Even re-planted my hasta garden. 2 days, start to finish. We are confident this will succeed."
