Small jobs welcome

"Dave arrived at our house to install several ceiling fans and a light fixture. He was respectful of our house, wore foot booties and laid out a drop cloth to catch all the clippings from his work. His work was excellent and he worked fast. We would highly recommend him to friends and family and would definitely use him again in future jobs."

"From the beginning - Sean was extremely responsive to all of our questions and very flexible with scheduling the service. He installed our new humidifier on the furnace, provided instructions on how to operate it, and offered multiple tips for keeping the system running efficiently. He also offered a very fair price. He was very professional, and we would definitely hire him again!!"

"Of the five bids I received, Michael Bonsby Heating & AC company proposed the best value for the price. From start to finish, through removal of the old furnace to installation & operation of the new furnace, the service technician was knowledgable & experienced in doing the work, and helpful in answering questions and explaining the use and operation of the new furnace. The office staff was also responsive and courteous whenever I called with questions or scheduling of installation. I'm very satisfied with this company and recommend them highly."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

A rodent infestation often has a distinctive, unpleasant smell. The most common odor is a strong, musky scent, similar to stale ammonia, which comes from mouse urine. As the infestation grows, the smell can become more intense. You might also notice a foul, decomposing odor if mice or rats die inside the walls or hidden areas. This combination of smells is a clear sign of a rodent problem and should prompt immediate action to address the infestation.

Besides checking your pet’s fur, you can use two other tests to find fleas in your home: the white sock test and the water and lamp test.

To perform the white sock test, simply put on a pair of long white socks and drag your feet along the carpets in your home. Fleas will gravitate to the heat created by your socks. The water and lamp test involves placing a bowl of water on the floor and shining a light over it. Fleas will then be attracted to the light and land in the bowl of water.

Mice are very unlikely to go away on their own. As long as there is food and shelter available in your home, they’ll call it their home, too. If your DIY efforts aren’t working, you need to hire a local pest control service to remove the mice infestation. Aside from carrying diseases, mice can chew through wires, insulation, drywall, and more.

If you’re apprehensive about whether pest control services are safe for dealing with a termite infestation, rest assured that they are, as long as you hire a licensed company following strict safety protocols. Before the process begins, you'll need to remove food, plants, and pets from the home to prevent chemical exposure. You’ll also need to vacate your home for a couple of days while the treatment takes place and the chemicals dissipate. Re-entry is only safe once your pest control provider confirms that the home has been properly ventilated and cleared for return.

Probably not. Many imitation nests are meant to be hung from trees or other tall places, but not all yellow jackets nest up high—most species, such as the common yellow jacket and the southern yellow jacket, build nests in the ground.
