"There were a total of 5 holes cut in our living room wall to do the tv mount & hide wires (done by a different service provider). Pete repaired the 5 holes, and repainted the wall. It looks great. You'd never know there were holes there. He was responsive via phone/email beforehand and came on a Saturday to get it done (which worked great for us, because we didn't have to go too long with holes in our living room wall.)"

"Danny did a phenomenal job repairing the ceiling drywall in both my kitchen and dining room & then painting both ceilings. "Carlos and his crew did outstanding work in installing a new ceiling in our living and dining rooms and in painting those rooms and our kitchen cabinets. "ALC did a fabulous job. We went from having a tiny, very old style bathroom to a real master bathroom. That meant moving a wall, putting in a new subfloor and tile, removing a shower stall and putting in a tub, and putting in a vanity. It also meant new lighting. We couldn't be more pleased. Whether you apply the drywall mesh before or after drywall mud depends on the type of patch it is. For self-adhesive patches, you’ll put the patch down first and then coat it with mud. Mesh patches that are not self-adhesive will require you to put mud down first and then press the mesh into it, followed by additional coats of mud.

There are six levels of drywall finish, from 0 to 5, that refer to the amount of work performed during the finishing process.

Level 0: Drywall is hung with no finishing work.

Level 1: Tape is placed over the seams between drywall sheets.

Level 2: A thin layer of mud is applied over the tape and screw holes. This level is common for utility rooms or walls that will be covered.

Level 3: A full coat of mud covers the screw holes and tape, but the surface is not sanded. This is often used in garages.

Level 4: This is the most common finish for visible interior walls. It involves applying two coats of mud over seams and screw holes, with sanding between each coat, creating a smooth surface ready for flat paint.

Level 5: This is a high-end finish for luxury homes. It includes full taping, mudding, and sanding, plus a final skim coat over the entire surface before painting.

So unless you notice the leak and stop it right away, you only have a day or so before mold is a real concern. If you don’t notice the leak, it can take about three weeks for the mold spores to become visible. That means you’ve likely had an active mold infection for a few weeks by the time you notice discoloration.

Whether a drywall anchor can be reused depends on its material, type, and the method of removal. Plastic anchors, including expansion and self-drilling types, are generally designed for single use as they tend to break or deform upon removal. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle piece can fall into the wall cavity when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged during removal, for instance by having its head cut off, it cannot be reused regardless of the material.
