I hired Joe for a whole house project, and I highly recommend his work. The qualify of work is excellent, and his rates are reasonable. Joe was partner throughout the process, and he was meticulous in putting together proposals each time I made an additional request or we uncovered pre-existing issues that required repair. Joe is a good man, and I am extremely fortunate that I found him.

JL Smith is our go to contractor. He has brought our 50 year old house into the 21st century. Over a few years he has remodeled our: basement, kitchen, master bath, hall bath and foyer. Additionally, he painted the rooms on our main floor, replaced all the interior doors and hardware and upgraded our electrical system. We didn’t want just a cosmetic redo. We wanted our house to be ready to carry us through retirement with minimal issues. So our renovations were from the studs out. This included plumbing, electrical, wall insulation and termite repair. We love working with Mr. Smith. He is unflappable. His integrity, calm demeanor, expert workmanship and customer focus is what sets him apart from other competitors. If we have another project or are asked to refer a contractor to family or friends, we go to Joe Smith. I cannot recommend JL Smith more highly.

Mr. Smith and his team were professional and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the work. Mr. Smith proved to be a consummate professional and skilled carpenter, as well as patient, friendly, and thorough. His subcontractors, especially the master cabinetmaker, were highly skilled. Once the kitchen was demolished, a leak under the floor was finally identified. Mr. Smith explained the problem and the solution, and his remedy finally corrected a long-standing plumbing problem that had been overlooked by other contractors. He removed the garage door opener and braces,built a wall and insulated it, built storage closets a book case, a window seat with storage,put in lights, ceiling fan, baseboard heating,opened pass through into kitchen with a bar, enlarged opening into laundry room,finished walls,painted, and layed carpeting. The workmanship was excellent and done with in a timely manner. We couldn't be more pleased.

Mr. Smith came in and gave me an estimate, but the service I thought I needed was not required. He was extremely polite and accommodating and I would be happy to hire his company at another time.

I had a list of about 9 things. He was only able to do one of them. Make certain you call to identify what work they will do. They did a decent job on the one piece of work they did, but the price was at least triple what I would've paid.

It was a pleasure to hire this company. Mr. Smith and his coworker were very professional: they arrived on time, did beautiful work, answered my questions, and cleaned up all debris.

He came over to scope out the project in advance, then came back on the appointed date and went right to work. The stairs are better than new, despite 40 years of abuse. I highly recommend this contractor - I will certainly be using him in the future.

The provider was excellent at getting back to me and in setting up an appointment. However after coming to my house to view the potential work, he advised that a lot of the work I need done would take longer than the 8 man-hours the AL Big Deal covered. He said he would give me an email/call in a few days with an estimate but I never received one. Basically I am resigned to just grabbing a few friends one long weekend and eeking out the projects myself. Thank you though!

Mr. Smith did an outstanding work and I am very satisfied with the outcome. Mr. Smith was punctual and completed the work within 5 days as stipulated in the contract. The installation was started on time and was completed on time as we had discussed and listed in the contract. I gave the contractor a key to my home to let himself in as the work was being done while I was at work. The contractor took very good care of my home and he cleaned up every day before he and his crew left. The contractor was very professional and responded to all my questions and concerns in a timely manner.
