D&L did a great job painting our home at a reasonable price point. They were professional, timely, and would recommend them to family and friends.

Buyer beware. As some reviews have suggested, the owner is very sneaky with the way the proposals is written out. I asked for a quote on a paint job, negotiated a price, hired this company and ended up paying $600 more. The price circled did not include materials. I ask for a quote on a paint job and the cost of paint was never mentioned. Dana knew how much paint I would be needing but the cost of that was never brought up.. That whole part was just glazed over we got slapped with the bill at the end. I had other contractors give me quotes and ALL of them included the price of paint. I will not recommend this company to ANY of my friends and will definitely NOT hire for future jobs. I’ve worked with better and more honest contractors. If you’re considering this company make sure you dot all your I’s and cross all your T’s.

In my opinion, this company was sneaky and WAY overpriced....The estimate for the work was explained one way and billed another. After negotiating the bill, we were eventually left to pay well more than we expected and $600 more than the next highest received. Buyer beware, the number circled on the bottom right of the estimate invoice is apparently not actually the estimate. The quality of the work was fine, but not worth the price.

I called to get an estimate and he asked me what the job was, I told him and before even offering to come look at the space he told me it would take 2 guys 8 hours to do the job and it would cost $55 an hour per guy totaling $880.  I said h*** no, that is crazy for one room and it should not take 2 guys 2 full days.  I said no thank you.  He said well how much do you want to pay, I told him that I had decided if it was going to cost more then $400 I would just do it my self.  I wasn't in a rush to do this job, I just wanted to get a feel for how much it would cost.  He told me he would send 1 guy for 8 hours for $440 but he didn't know if he would be able to get it done.  I told him that I didn't really need the baseboards to be painted as they were in really good condition.  He said that I would regret that and that I should have the baseboards and the ceiling painted as well.  I said ok well I will call you if I want to move forward.  He called me 3 times in the next couple hours practically begging for the job and he offered to do it for $400/ $50 an hour so I said ok.  Bobby showed up on time and got right to work, he did a good job painting and was DONE in 4 1/2 hours.  We did supply the paint and I went to buy white paint so he could do the trim and windows and mantel since he was done so early and Dana was right that with the fresh paint it would be nice to have the trim done.  So he painted the trim, I bought the same exact kind that was already on the trim, it did come out very sloppy.  He told my husband that it wasn't sticking well.  I didn't really inspect it until after he left.  He was completely finished after 6 1/2 hours, but I was paying for 8 hours so I asked if he could paint something else.  He said he didn't have time.  He told me it was $440 and I told him that we agreed on $400 and I played him a message that Dana had left me saying $400.  I called Dana to let him know that he was done and that we we agreed to pay $400 for 8 hours and he started yelling at me.  Bobby couldn't believe how Dana was talking to me.  He didn't even give me a chance to talk.  We had a whole extra can of paint and I would have found something else for him to paint.  Dana was so unprofessional and rude and told me what a great deal I got.  I really didn't get any deal, if he normally charges $55 an hour and it only took 6.5 hours I should have only paid $357.50.  He told me that he wanted to send 2 guys so I got a deal.  Well it only took 1 guy 4 hours or 6.5 if you include the trim.  He said that they did me a favor by doing the trim.  WHAT.  I told him that I would not be doing business with his company ever again and I hung up.  I paid Bobby the promised $400 and while I was writing the check Dana was calling me phone and texting me to call him back.

Went very well and finished early.

I liked working with them. It is always easy to speak with the boss. Always had a nice crew of experienced people, and if I needed anything else done that was over and above the original job, he gave me a fair price. I also had a lot of trash that I was taking out of the place, he also took care of that as well of some outside cement work. They were always there early to the best of my knowledge, every time I would come to check up unannounced they were there.

Only six months after the job was done, the tile and grout is already coming up. Multiple contractors have stated that the entire job needs to be redone. They also did not clean up after themselves, leaving debris in the garage. The painting work was average. In addition, workers did not show up with the necessary tools required to do the job.

They were appalling. They left everything for me to clean up. When the owner of the company came to paint my doors he allowed drip marks and when I pointed it out he yelled at me saying "It's paint, it runs". I told him to get out of my house. My husband spoke with the owner and he just didn't execute the job as he had mentioned. The crew wasn't good at all. They cleaned their paint brushes in my master bath.

Their work was good, but they did overlook a few things. One room we felt was overpriced. They did adequately repair the previous contractors drywall mistake.

Pleasant experience. Had to come back to do touch-up on cut in paint around woodwork. Excellent workmanship. Would hire again.

I WAS HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY. THE MAN CALLED VERY FAST. I CALLED FOUR COMPANIES, AND HE WAS THE FIRST ONE TO RESPOND. HE CAME OUT THAT DAY OR THE NEXT DAY AND HAD IT DONE WITHIN THE WEEK.
