"We had an absolutely fantastic experience with The Cabinet Restoration Company. We had a large kitchen built in 1992 that needed a facelift in Clarksville, MD. The original cabinets were high-end, custom-built, quality cabinetry that didn't really make sense to get rid of completely. The tricky part was we wanted to make some cabinet layout changes for different appliances which required replacing some cabinets while only refacing others, and we weren't using a general contractor. Pete Simonello worked closely with us and was very patient with our many changing ideas and questions. It required a lot of coordination since we were also renovating the rest of the house, and they were very amenable to our always changing timelines. The end result is fantastic. The project took about 4-5 weeks to complete. Steve Cropper, who did the work, was by far the best contractor we've ever worked with. He took such great care of our home (put up plastic walls sealing the whole kitchen off and protective flooring to/from exterior doors), was always courteous and friendly, kept us in the loop of the work being done, and his attention to detail with our kitchen was next level. I can be a stickler for details, but Steve's work quality was just outstanding. We still say to this day we wish we could use Steve for every project in our home. I was hesitant to reface kitchen cabinets in a high-end home, thinking it may not last or hold its value and end up being a waste of money if we had to replace the cabinets in the end regardless. It's been about a year since completing the project and I'm still floored every time we walk into the kitchen. Everything is holding up perfectly, and even I'm none the wiser that the cabinets were ever refaced at all. I also can't tell the difference between the new and refaced cabinets despite being side-by-side. And I'm the usually the first person to look at something, scan the details, and judge the quality. We saved a huge amount of money over full cabinet replacements, and were just so pleased with the whole process and the high quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a cost-effective way to update their kitchen cabinetry."

"I hate being condescended to. Listen to what I want and then give suggestions on how I might be able to work that out in my kitchen. Don't just tell me it can't be done. I felt like I was wasting my time. I asked about a particular type of closet (not realizing it was part of a bigger cabinet...how would I know) and she told me to follow her (using her finger to me like a child) and said I couldn't have it because it was as part of a bigger piece. She could have just said that. I said if I can't make my kitchen more "usable" (less wasted space), WHY to with custom cabinets. I could just reface. The woman behind me who was waiting to ask her a question said. Listen, if you can't get what you want, I don't blame you for not spending the money. It's easy to reface. So, I called another company and, low and behold, I'm getting partial refacing and partial custom cabinets. He came and we discussed HOW I could get my carousel cabinet (uh - he suggested I go from a double to a single sink - easy peasy) AND, he came in at half the price your website suggested I might pay. It is really nice to be listened to...especially when it's MY money I'm spending."

"I'm thrilled. The sales-rep/designer had really good design software to create a design so that I could see it while he was still on-site. It took us about two hours to come up with a design that worked, agree on scope of work (I also asked for plaster-repair and painting), select colors and materials, and finalize the work. The painter did his work in a few hours, with the installers arriving the next day after the paint dried. They too were done in a matter of 2-3 hours. All workmen were courteous and left the space very clean. It looks great and with materials that will likely stand the test of time without warping or separating (no cheap pressed composites). Everything now has its place, ending the clutter battle in my dressing room. I'd consider using them again if we need other spaces reconfigured."

When I first started my search for a kitchen remodeler, I wanted one company that handled the entire process from design, cabinets, countertops, installation, electrical, and plumbing. He had many cabinet, countertop and hardware samples to choose from. He made the selection process easy and stress-free. At demolition, his crew was courteous and respectful. They cleaned up every evening and made sure dust was under control. When the cabinets were delivered, we were informed that two critical pieces were going to be delay by at least three weeks, which would have delayed the entire cabinet install. Dan recommended alternative pieces which provided the same storage capacity and preserved the original design look. He was able to have these new cabinet pieces delivered in three days and kept the project moving forward. We had a three-week vacation planned and trusted American Kitchen Concepts to continue with the project without our daily presence. Dan kept us informed of progress and when we returned our kitchen remodel was finished. Dan conducted a quality control visit and took care of any remaining issues. I highly recommend American Kitchen Concepts. They are honest, knowledgeable and stand by their products and workmanship."

"I was interested in getting new kitchen cabinets, but I did not want to make any changes in the current layout.  I found out that refacing was the best option for what I wanted based on need and cost.  They were very efficient and professional.  I was very pleased with my new cabinets.  The only downside to the new cabinets are the brackets that hold the drawers are not equip to hold much weight.  So, the company has to come out to reinforce the drawers after installation."
