"Rich was a true professional from the walk through and estimate to performing the carpet cleaning. He explained the process and is very reasonably priced. He cleaned the carpet of a 3 story townhome. The carpet had not been cleaned for many years. The carpet looks like new after the cleaning. It took approximately 4 hours to complete the job. I would highly recommend Rich for all your carpet needs. He also referred me to a contractor that was able to fix a roll in the carpet prior to cleaning."

While they both help to penetrate tough fibers and have similar designs, there is a difference between an upholstery cleaner and a carpet cleaner. Afterward, blot the stain to remove it. Don’t rub, as this can damage carpet fibers and push the stain deeper. Deodorize with a vinegar solution once the stain is completely gone.

However, if you have children, pets, or allergies, you may want to clean them more frequently, like every 6 to 12 months instead.

Looking clean is only half the battle. A professionally cleaned carpet should feel soft and fluffy, i.e., not caked down with dirt or matted from excess cleaning product. It will not have any unpleasant odors, since carpet cleaners go deep enough to eliminate the most sunk-in smells. It should also be free of stains or discoloration from heavy foot traffic.
