"Could not be happier with the progress with The Contractors from start to finish. The quote in the beginning was detailed, thoughtful, and in-line with what we expected. We received quotes from 3 other places (both full gut job and refacing) and the Contractors hit the bill on cost, answers to questions, detail of quote and thoughtfulness. John was an excellent resource for my MANY questions on everything from details of installation to composition of cabinetry, etc. The install process was straightforward and Jeremiah cleaned up absolutely everything each day. His attention to detail was impressive. We had a LOT done-refacing on about 30+cabinets, building (from scratch) a new set of custom-sized cabinets to fit in built in wine fridge, new tile, new quartz countertops including a new breakfast bar extending along former knee wall. They even extended existing cabinets and you can't tell at all what was old and what was new. We are incredibly pleased and the kitchen is gorgeous. Any issues (no reno is completely problem free) were handled swiftly and deftly by the owner with open and thorough communication. Would definitely recommend."

"We thought hard about replacing or refacing our 36-year old cabinets for our large-sized kitchen with a cooking island and desk. "We had an absolutely fantastic experience with The Cabinet Restoration Company. We had a large kitchen built in 1992 that needed a facelift in Clarksville, MD. The original cabinets were high-end, custom-built, quality cabinetry that didn't really make sense to get rid of completely. The tricky part was we wanted to make some cabinet layout changes for different appliances which required replacing some cabinets while only refacing others, and we weren't using a general contractor. Pete Simonello worked closely with us and was very patient with our many changing ideas and questions. It required a lot of coordination since we were also renovating the rest of the house, and they were very amenable to our always changing timelines. The end result is fantastic. The project took about 4-5 weeks to complete. Steve Cropper, who did the work, was by far the best contractor we've ever worked with. He took such great care of our home (put up plastic walls sealing the whole kitchen off and protective flooring to/from exterior doors), was always courteous and friendly, kept us in the loop of the work being done, and his attention to detail with our kitchen was next level. I can be a stickler for details, but Steve's work quality was just outstanding. We still say to this day we wish we could use Steve for every project in our home. I was hesitant to reface kitchen cabinets in a high-end home, thinking it may not last or hold its value and end up being a waste of money if we had to replace the cabinets in the end regardless. It's been about a year since completing the project and I'm still floored every time we walk into the kitchen. Everything is holding up perfectly, and even I'm none the wiser that the cabinets were ever refaced at all. I also can't tell the difference between the new and refaced cabinets despite being side-by-side. And I'm the usually the first person to look at something, scan the details, and judge the quality. We saved a huge amount of money over full cabinet replacements, and were just so pleased with the whole process and the high quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a cost-effective way to update their kitchen cabinetry."

"After several moves with the military to our forever home, we wanted to have our furniture cosmetically touched up, as it had incurred some nicks and scratches, with a few faded areas from heavy use. The kitchen in our new house also had been refinished several years ago, but the previous owners had been rough with the cabinets, leaving some scrapes and scratches. Eric did a fantastic job touching up all our furniture, which looks so much better now that all the scratches are filled and the faded areas blended. The cabinets in our gourmet kitchen look brand new. The cost was very reasonable, all the work was conveniently done in our home, and Eric was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. Getting an estimate via email with photos and scheduling was easy as well--it's just a great all-around local company worth supporting. Other companies wanted us to bring the furniture to them and had very high quotes just for a few pieces. I'm so happy I found them and my home feels so much more polished now."

"I hate being condescended to. Listen to what I want and then give suggestions on how I might be able to work that out in my kitchen. Don't just tell me it can't be done. I felt like I was wasting my time. I asked about a particular type of closet (not realizing it was part of a bigger cabinet...how would I know) and she told me to follow her (using her finger to me like a child) and said I couldn't have it because it was as part of a bigger piece. She could have just said that. I said if I can't make my kitchen more "usable" (less wasted space), WHY to with custom cabinets. I could just reface. The woman behind me who was waiting to ask her a question said. Listen, if you can't get what you want, I don't blame you for not spending the money. It's easy to reface. So, I called another company and, low and behold, I'm getting partial refacing and partial custom cabinets. He came and we discussed HOW I could get my carousel cabinet (uh - he suggested I go from a double to a single sink - easy peasy) AND, he came in at half the price your website suggested I might pay. It is really nice to be listened to...especially when it's MY money I'm spending."
