"Very professional and courteous.  Cleaned up after their work.  It was the best experience I have ever had with a plumber.  They are locally owned and very responsive - unlike some of the very large companies.  The pricing was reasonable and they worked with me on the options of which replacement tank to use.

"As a landlord I have had my fair share of plumbing issues.  I am particularly pleased with the service I receive from John owner of Knock You Plumb Out Plumbing.  John has replaced sewer lines for me along with other plumbing problems.  I have even referred John to friends, something I normally am hesitant to do because I don?t want to be involved if there are problems with the quality of the work.  But with Knock You Plumb Out Plumbing I am confident of quality work and service.  I highly recommend John.

"Ray phoned me prior to arrival letting me know that he would be delayed for scheduled appointment which I really appreciated. He checked the sump pump and drainage system to determine if it was working properly. He determined that the line needed to be jetted and sump pump pit cleaned out due to the presence of debris in the pit. He returned and completed the cleaning of system and found a blockage in the basement stairwell drain. I am planning to have Bailey's Plumbing to remove the blockage and correct the problem. I thankful to have a plumber whom I feel I can trust. Ray kept me informed as he performed the jetting of the the French drains to see the debris and see the air rippling into the sump pump pit. He also showed and explained where the blockage was and how it affected the flow of water from my stairwell area. He gave the free estimates within a timely fashion and I felt he did not use any hard sell dialogue to influence my decision to hire him to complete the work.👍"

"They called me right away once I submitted the request through Home Advisor and arrived the next day. Work was done quickly. My questions were answered and they will remind me in three years to have my septic cleaned again. Can't ask for more than that! Not sure of the value for the money, did not price around."

"We needed our water heater replaced. It was somewhat complicated because we wanted to upgrade the tank in size, but we had limited room for it. There was some back and forth in finding the appropriate tank, but the salesperson and technicians were very pleasant to work with throughout the whole process. When the pipes were moved and the tank was installed, it was done efficiently and professionally. We are very happy with our experience and the final product."

It went very well. Jeffrey Morrissey (master plumber & gas fitter) was able to locate the leak point that cause water to seep down from the inside of the back basement wall to the outside in a vertical fashion. We discovered the leak on the outside wall after turning on the water hose for the first time in the Spring. We also got 5 min of help to check our sump pump too (nothing wrong there. Just got a quick lesson on how to check if it's still working even though we have not heard it run for years).

He ended up cutting out the copper portion where there was a hole & clamped the other part for the fix. So far so good - it's holding well. It was found that that area was in need of additional insulation. With the extreme temps this past year, the hose bib line ended up with a hole (we've lived in the home for almost 20 yrs & this is the 1st time we had trouble). He left the drywall opening for us to repair since we needed to add more insulation (used spray foam around the repair site).

Jeffrey Morrissey was on time and the first to respond via Home Advisor search; was friendly/easy to work with, helpful, careful about our home. No complaints. I saw that he was not on Angie's List, so we're hoping our good service experience will add his company on this list. Good service!

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.

Septic drain fields should be at least 10 feet from the property line, though exact requirements vary by location. Some areas may require further distances, such as 25 feet or more, depending on soil conditions and local health regulations. This extension ensures proper wastewater absorption and prevents contamination of neighboring homes.

Yes, septic tank companies must be licensed in most states and municipalities to perform services like installation, alteration, repair, and pumping. Since laws vary by location, it's crucial to check local requirements.

Hiring an unlicensed professional can lead to poor work, code violations, and significant fines. Always verify that your chosen company is properly licensed and fully insured to avoid liability. You can use tools like Angi’s contractor licensing search to check a pro's credentials.

It's also helpful to understand the difference between licensing and certification. A license is a legal requirement to operate, while certifications are voluntary. Credentials like the “Angi Approved” badge indicate that a business meets extra standards, such as passing a background check and maintaining a high rating.

Although air in your water lines won’t affect the overall quality of your water, it will lead to problems with your well water system if not addressed. Over time, too much air in your water lines can create blockages in your pipes, cause insufficient water flow to your taps and appliances, loosen pipes, and potentially damage important components of your well including your well pump and pressure tank.

To keep your septic tank healthy, be careful of what you flush and be conservative with water usage, as even flushing too much water down the drain can throw off the septic system’s delicate balance. Never flush anything but human waste and toilet paper down your toilet, and be sure to have the tank inspected and pumped every two to five years, depending on the size of your household and your water usage.
