"I wish I could explain it. I called Abbey Fence and Deck last week to request a quote for a deck extension with composite deck boards. They quickly put me on the schedule no problem. Flash forward to today. The guy started measuring my existing balcony and asked what I wanted and as soon as I started explaining that I wanted to expand the deck out into the yard and across the back of the home, he started making excuses. He said they only had white rails no black, he started telling me about another job where he was waiting since September (itâs now March) for materials. He went on to say it would be August when he could get black railings. Then I said ok, if you canât do the job I understand. So he took all his measuring tools, including a huge walking measuring wheel and left. It was very odd. Why didnât they tell me when I called that they were low on parts or had a backlog on projects due to lack of materials. Needless to say, I called Wold Home Products, one of the companies he said they use and get this....The customer service rep said they have plenty of black aluminum railings. She even went on to tell me to have the contractor ask for the Westbury Tuscany #C-10. When I read reviews I take what people say with a grain of salt, especially if they are the only negative in a sea of positives. Trust me, I wasnât asking for anything special or extravagant, just a simple deck. It was truly odd."

"Project was a new deck, started last year 2024, should have been completed before the end of that summer, here it is Jun 2025 and still not complete, talk to owner several times said still no movement forward, board cracking all over the place due to screws not normal wood cracking, even thought the wood is cracking more and more day by day since the deck is not complete it has not been sealed. Boards do not line up, come home one day during the build to to 3â wide steps, we ordered 5â wide steps, no communication between the project manager and the builder. They walked in one day and said we are done except for the sanding and staining, we asked where the post lights were, they said we didnât order them, I said check the contract, there response after checking was oh our bad, they did a makeshift attempt to add post lights and not the ones we wanted. Talked to the owner (Bill) several times, each time I have to re-explain the issues, each time he says he will come out and make it right, still no appointment and no visit. These guys claim to be a Vet Owned Business, they give it a bad name. I have given him 5 days to respond or we seek legal assistance/action. With they way this project has gone I donât understand how they stayed in business or received any good reviews. I would give no stars if I could."
