"We hired Diversified Contractors to install a new patio, walkway and retaining wall at our home during the summer of 2017. The job consisted of removing an existing concrete patio and then installing a new patio and a 60-foot walkway using Westchester pavers. In addition, a 25-foot retaining wall incorporating a new PVC drainage system was installed under an existing deck. The job required a significant amount of landscaping and regrading of our backyard. Diversified Contractors completed the work on schedule and the men who performed the installation were courteous, professional and excellent craftsmen. The manager/owner came by each day to review the progress of the work. He was always accessible to address our questions. We are extremely pleased with the service and could not have asked for a better contractor to perform the work. The quality and design of the resulting patio, walkway and retaining wall have exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Diversified Contractors to anyone who is considering having masonry work done at their home."

"They were amazing. I mean it really looks good. I think that if I paid less, it might not have looked quite as good. They were really professionals that knew what they were doing. The way they did the retaining wall just looks really really nice. I would give them higher than an A in some way. They were so nice. There were so many of them, and they worked so fast. They were experts. The salesman was also excellent because he took into part what I was trying to convey, and he designed it. He kept showing me, and we kept sort of tweaking it. You want that. They were punctual. They were scheduled for a week or so later, and I called and asked if they could come earlier because they had an opening in their schedule. They like to keep their crews working constantly, and I had really wanted it done as soon as possible. So I agreed. They came and they were right on time. They worked very hard. They always cleaned up after themselves. I mean so many leave a mess or leave a part of it undone. Plus, it just exceeded my expectations of how it looked in the end."

"Working with Arthur and the Ballard Enterprises team was a great experience. They did an amazing job with the landscaping, cleanup, and retaining wall. I nearly cried because I haven't seen the outside of my home look decent in so long. :-) The brick for the retaining wall is beautiful and it seems to "brighten" the home. Ballard also did cleanup in my back area and WOW! It looks great and no more walking through tall weeds and mint to get to my deck. I appreciate Arthur teaching me about hostas. I'm not a gardener and know very little about plants and had no idea that was in my yard. And I thought this would take a couple of days but they completed everything in one day. Also I appreciated the quick scheduling of the project and I'm sure my neighbors appreciated it too. :-) Would highly recommend Ballard and have already received many compliments about the work done. "I do not normally write reviews, but I feel like I should let other people know about this company. I could write an entire essay on my experience with them but I will try and keep it short. I hired HL to redo my entire front lawn with new walkways, retaining walls, plants, mulch, and trees. I spent over $17,000 and thought I was getting a great deal. Dave and his group were very nice at first but once work had begun things quickly changed. They would say nice stuff to my face but I would catch them saying bad things about me behind my back. They had horrible communication with me, they rushed to get to the next job, and I had several problems with their work. The amount of stress they caused me was truly unfair to me. I eventually got most of the problems fixed. One of those problems was they did not install weed fabric under all my beds as discussed. They came back and fixed it but did a horrible job. They also put barely enough mulch back to cover the fabric and dirt so now I have a literal jungle in most areas. I was not happy before I paid but no amount of money is worth the issues they caused me. They even put grass seed in the mulched areas that are now grass. I would have tried to get them to come back out for the fourth time but it is not worth the stress. I expect a little maintenance but my yard looks nothing that was agreed to. I will have to fix it myself in the spring but I had to write this review because everyday I look at my yard and I am not pleased. Reading the other reviews makes mine stick out but I would not recommend them. Spend your money on a better company. UPDATE: Owner reached out to remedy the issue. They came out and pulled out all old mulch, weed, and weed fabric and replaced them. Looks much better. They seem to have taken more care this time and I hope it works. Fabric seems to have been put down better with more mulch too. I hope the mulch is deep enough with a combination of fabric to stop most weeds in the spring."

"We couldn't be happier with Hoffman Landscaping! The workmanship is high quality and the job was done on time and on budget. We had just rescued two dogs, and wanted to get our yard fenced in as soon as possible. Hoffman worked our fence install into their busy schedule, and returned soon after to install our paver walkway and patio. We love to sit on our new patio and watch our dogs run around the yard!"

"Jamie, the owner, is great to work with.  He provided ideas and helped us develop a final plan for the walkway and small patio.  We have a detached garage so the walkway goes from the deck about 40 feet to the side entrance at the back of the garage.  His stonework crew was efficient, and very skilled.  They first removed the existing slate walkway that was on a sand base and had shifted a bit over the years.  It also sloped down to the garage and was very slippery in winter.  They dug out the area and poured a concrete base, then installed the flagstone.  The walkway has two curved edges that are perfect, and the crew put in two small steps so the sections would be level.  The crew also ensured that water would drain properly away from the garage.  They took away the old slate, cleaned up everything and even washed down the paved alley behind the garage.  The stone work took three days.  The second crew that tilled the yard and put in sod was also excellent.  They asked about FIOS and Comcast cables.  I knew where the the FIOS cable started and that it was about 8 inches below ground.  They carefully dug up the cable so they would not cut it with the tiller.  They they re-buried the cable.  They also put in an underground 4-inch drainage pipe from a downspout with a pop-up drain near the rear of the yard.  Our yard is not big - the work area was maybe 30' x 40'., so they completed the sod work in one day.
I highly recommend Divine Landscaping.  You will be dealing directly with the owner; he has experienced workers that have been with Divine for years; pricing is very reasonable; workmanship is excellent; cleanup is thorough, and Jamie and his crews pay attention to detail, and ask questions whenever there is an issue to be resolved.  We are very pleased with the final results, and have received many complements from neighbors.  Divine Landscaping is terrific and will be first on our list for future landscaping work."
