COLUMBIA CONCRETE RECENTLY POURED A CONCRETE SLAB FOR A HOT TUB, AND A SIDEWALK FOR OUR RESIDENCE. Dave and crew, Did an outstanding job on my new patio with retaining wall this summer 2022. Their attention to detail with our retaining wall was as if Michelangelo had done it himself. I highly recommend this company, because of there honesty toward customers and outstanding professional work. You will not be disappointed!

Dave came out to give me an estimate in June 2020. The price was right and I requested that the work start when the weather was cooler. I heard back in October when he was ready to go. Our very large driveway was done in 3 days and looks great. It's been a year since the install and the driveway is holding up well.

My home had an old driveway that needed replacement. Thanks to the other reviews on Yelp I decided to contact Columbia Concrete & Stoneworks. The owner provided a competitive estimate and he and his crew did an excellent job in the demolition and replacement of the driveway, sidewalk and side porch. I recommend this company.

Mr. Bell answered immediately and arranged for his crew to solve a problem he’s never seen before...the drop in temperatures cause my sidewalk to swell and I was unable to use the door to get out of my house.

Columbia concrete did a phenomenal job in a timely manner. All workers were courteous and diligent in completing the job and their pricing is incredibly competitive. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Columbia Concrete did a fantastic job with our driveway and walkway repaving. David Bell was a pleasure to work with. He was a stickler for making sure the work was done right and to our satisfaction. He was very involved with the job, and actively participated in the trickier aspects of the work. Ours was a big job, and David kept things moving and completed the work when promised. When he left his team to continue working, he made sure they knew exactly what they were supposed to do. David always returned at the end of the day to check their work. He also checked in with us often to ask and answer questions and make sure we were pleased with the progress. David genuinely cared about minimizing the disruption to our lives during the days of work, and worked with us to make sure our dinner guests could safely come through the main entrance even though our walkway was torn out. When we were uncomfortable with the outlet location of an under-driveway drain pipe, he sent had his team return to extend it until we were satisfied. I felt confident that if we had had any other concerns, David would have taken his shirt off and done the work himself if necessary. to make things right. I highly recommend Columbia Concrete.

Columbia Concrete was terrific! They recommended replacement of just the portion of the driveway that was structurally unsound - saving us a lot of money. They also allowed us to design the shape of the walkway and pulled out the shrubs we no longer wanted. The staff was on time, hard working and extremely courteous. Best of all it all looks great. We would definitely recommend Columbia Concrete to anyone needing the same work done at their house.

It went very well. They did a very good job and I am happy with the work. They started when they said they would and completed the job when they said they would have it finished. Everyone who sees it says they think the company did a good job.

Owner was very friendly and responsive. Work was performed on time and all dates were adhered to. The garage floor was removed and regraded. It was then trowl finished and looked absolutely amazing. The driveway and sidewalk was then removed and regraded. It was brushed finished with all brush strokes going in the correct directions making it look very professional. The sloping of the driveway and walk ways makes the water run off in the correct directions as agreed upon in original contract. Overall I am very pleased. I was very impressed that Dave (the owner) actually did alot of the work himself with his crew.

Extremely well. We contacted Columbia Concrete for an estimate. They came out to visit and we discussed the parameters of the front porch and sidewalk work. They responded quickly with a few different options and pricing for each. When we decided to go with them; they scheduled the work within a couple of weeks and did the job. The results met or exceeded all expectations. All representatives of this company were professional and just pleasant to work with.

If you are looking for a honest contractor to do the job right and provide you the warranty as promised after the full payment is made, then look somewhere else for your concrete work. David and 2 other contractors came out and gave me an estimate. Two other contractors came out and measured end to end to provide me an estimate and David just eye balled it and gave me a rough estimate. I asked him to give me the actual estimate in writing, but he never did nor he provide me with any documents at the end of the work. I found it very shady but he promised and gave me his words that if anything happens then he will take care of it. Long story short, his words mean NOTHING and he left me real bad taste in my mouth. If you do like to read the full story, please see below. First sign of the issue was he wouldn't give me the actual date of the work that will need to be performed. I was trying to be nice to him and be flexible, hoping that will get him the job done right. After 2 months passed, I finally got hold of him and he told me that he can get the job done after 2 weeks. Second sign of the issue was warranty, which is huge. After the first winter passed, new concrete got cracks from end to end forming "X." I called David multiple times and finally got hold of him. He promised that he will come out and look at it, which he didn't for several weeks. I actually found out he did come out after trying to call him numerous times. He said, "I don't like how it got cracked and the reason it got crack because water got underneath it. you need to re-route the water..blah blah.. Either way, I will make it right because I do not like hot it got cracked. I will come out and cut it out then re-pour concrete. However, I am so busy now, I will come out in couple months. I will give my words." After couple months go by, I never heard from him so I called him again and again and again. They started ignoring my calls and never return my calls back. His wife always say, "I will let David know you called and I've been harassing him to resolve the issue." I called him through the entire year of 2016. it is in 2017 and he never kept his promise.

It went wonderfully. They took two days to remove the old concrete and level and frame up for pouring. A third day for pouring and finishing. And one last day to come back an remove the framing and check for issues. The owner was responsive, respectful, and an all around class act.

Our entire process with Columbia Concrete was superb! Great listening and attention to detail, plus a keen sense of what works best for a unique situation. Thank you.

I am happy with the finished project. Dave's crew was very professional and skilled. Dave made some good suggestions to make the driveway look better and I'm glad I took his advice.

It was fantastic, Dave came out gave us a price, then came out and did a fantastic job. We couldn't be happier. Extremely personable, professional, and top notch work. I would recommend Columbia Concrete to everyone I know.

The workmanship is excellent. Modifications were made to accommodate the owner. Every step of the work was explained and questions answered.

Dave, the owner, was great from the start.  He was always very responsive when we called and that was important to us.  He helped us to design the patio and gave suggestions that we would never have thought of on our own.  He gave us all the options but stayed within our budget.  He was extremely patient with us as we were deciding exactly what we wanted.  
Our project posed some challenges because of the grade of our yard and some existing obstacles but Dave had no problem coming up with the right solution.
We did not have a specific date that we needed the job completed which was helpful because the weather did not cooperate in March at all.  
We are looking forward to spending days in the sun and evenings by the fire pit!  Thank you Columbia Concrete!

Our experience was extremely poor and I would avoid working with this company at all costs. Dave Bell is sweet talker who makes promises about what he will do and makes lots of promises but the work is ultimately extremely poor and he does not stand by his work in any way shape or form.  In our case, he stole money from us and ran.  He agreed to raise and seal some concrete steps outside out home. We waited and waited and waited for the original work to begin and kept calling and calling and checking in to no avail.  Finally, after about two months of waiting, he called and asked if he could come the next day.  We agreed and a team of three men were out with David Bell supervising.  I was relieved and excited because of all the good reviews.  However, I was quickly disappointed.  The steps were raised, although they were not completely level.  I was ready to accept the steps not being completely 100% level and wasn't going to even say anything about that.  However, the caulking job was really, really bad. Awful.  Messy, uneven.  Caulk all over the place like they had been painting with their fingers.  I was already concerned, but then about two days later and after one rain, the caulk basically disappeared in spots and there were gaping holes EVERYWHERE.  The interior of my house was left to the elements even worse than it had been before they raised and sealed the steps originally.  I called Mr. David Bell out to look and he was originally clearly very offended that something could be wrong.  He wanted his money.  I was actually kind of embarrassed for Mr. Bell and nervous to show him because of how badly it looked and how the holes were gaping everywhere.  However when he saw the work, he agreed it was awful and called it that much as well as a "s*it job." His exact words were "My guys did that?!" He agreed to personally come back and do the caulking himself.  However, we did not see Mr. Bell for about THREE weeks.  Meanwhile, we experienced a  strong rainstorm and water poured into my house and flooded the basement to the extent that water was seeping through the walls in our half bathroom.  I called Mr. Bell and informed him that we needed him out immediately to fix the caulking that he had left to the elements and his only response was basically "oops, sorry, besides, your house had already been receiving water for years."   We had never, ever had water seeping through out walls this way.  We had only had only had visible water damage like this when Mr. Bell left our home foundation completely open and unsealed for 3 weeks.  Strangely enough, Mr. Bell acknowledged that the house was very much unsealed and that he left it that way.  (Why on earth would you ever leave someone's home foundation unsealed and open to the elements for 3 weeks?!) The icing on the cake is when he finally came out to fix the caulking and I told him I wanted to wait a little while to see how this caulking would take before we finally gave him the full payment.  I would give him 75% now and the remaining 25% once I could confirm that there would be no further holes.  He basically had a full- on tantrum.  I won't get into the details, but it was ugly.  He kept pushing back that I needed to pay him 100% immediately as regardless of what would happen, he would stand by his work and fix whatever needed to be fixed.  I insisted on paying only 75% and gave him partial payment.  I was nervous that we would have rain and would have holes once again.  He re-did the caulking, and what do ya know, after a single rain storm, the caulking cracked the entire way across the steps.  Holes once again and my home foundation is open to the elements and rain, once again.  I called him back out and we had a heated exchange.  I have never been spoken to so poorly by someone I am supposed to be doing business with and by someone where THEIR work has been the issue and I am just trying to get it fixed once and for all!  Ultimately he agreed that the caulking needed to be re-done and that maybe it was bad caulking and he needed to use a different kind.  He promised to come back to our home withing a few days.  That was October.  It is now December, and despite repeated email inquiries, there has been no no sight of Mr. Bell.  He took the partial payment and ran.  He also refuses to send us a receipt for the partial cash payment (75%) we gave him.  He does not perform quality work and he does not stand by it.  Further, expect to be yelled at, and belittled and if you dare bring up a quality issue and try to get it resolved.  Because Mr. Bell just wants his money and that's it. and he told me that much many times --  "I just want to get paid".  Whether the work is done well, or right., that doesn't quite matter.   I will be filing formal complaints with BBB.  

Dave Bell and his staff were professional and answered the few questions I had.  Dave actually suggested improvements to the original; design I had suggested,  As a result the entry to my house looks much better than I thought possible.  I would definitely recommend Dave to others and wouild use his complany for any future work.

Dave and his men were extremely professional.  This was the second time I've used Columbia Concrete for outside work to my house.  They were able to complete the job in one day and put my worries at ease.  I was very happy with the work they performed and would use them again in the future.

Dave came out and provided an estimate for replacing a concrete step where the corner had broken completely off, and replacing a sunken slab of concrete. He explained he would replace the cracked step and the second step above it. The concrete slab next to the adjoining sidewalk had settled and water would pool in the area and freeze during the winter which created a hazard. Dave explained he would demolish the existing slab and build another which would be reinforced with rebar and attached to the adjoining slab.

His crew arrived on time and completed the job professionally. The quality of the work is excellent and we are very happy with the results.    

We were extremely happy with the service.  Dave Bell suggested that we curve the sidewalk and widen it slightly which was a great idea.  Also, they had to remove one of our plants and when the work was done, they replanted it!  They did a fabulous job and we will definitely be using them the next time we need concrete work done.
