I was told that the ovens would not be cleaned unless the self-cleaning feature had been run (they said there is a problem with the chemicals if the oven has not self cleaned). I had to move the initial appointment to a date after I had new carpets installed and a contractor had completed a lot of his work. I stated several times that the carpets did not need to be vacuumed since they had been replaced and were new, but a great deal of time was invested in vacuuming anyway. I was also disappointed that after the kitchen was cleaned, smudge marks remained on the cabinets and the wall plates. The ovens were wiped out as promised. I also noticed that some areas of the house were dusted, but others were not touched at all. I had asked for the walls to be cleaned and misunderstood that they don't do that due to liability with potential paint damage. I noticed that the floors had been mopped, but in some spots there was dirt in the corners. I also noticed that the cobwebs on the porch light by the front door were extensive and had not been removed. I found a basement window left open, when I mentioned it to customer service they were adamant that they do not clean windows and had not touched them. I was impressed with how responsive their customer service was to my complaints and their sincere attempt to address my concerns and make me happy. As I live 50 miles from the house and would have to take off work to allow them access to the house again, I declined the offer and am in the process of completing the cleaning myself. After discussion with a senior manager, it appears that I either misunderstood what services I was purchasing or I was misinformed. I had wanted someone to clean windows, walls, floors and dirt leftover from the departing tenants. The senior manager refunded $35 that he said was available through an an internet coupon, but refused to issue a larger refund. This was an expensive lesson for me and I will never feel that I received $485.00 worth of cleaning and will not use them again. They came highly recommended and I manage several properties, so I am disappointed. As is the case, one has to take a day of paid-time-off to stay home and wait for the technician because they don't ever know when they will arrive. When the technician arrived, he spent at most 15 seconds \"looking over\" the oven and decided it was a routine repair - no inspection, no testing, and barely any time for me to explain the problem. He told me he had to order a part, and then charged me $90 for the service call. The technician was rude, grumpy, and cold; not someone you would hire in a customer-facing position. He left in less than two minutes telling me someone from their company would call to tell me the part arrived and to schedule another appointment. I received a call from them some days later to schedule another visit to replace the part. I took another day of paid-time-off to have the oven repaired. Mid-afternoon of the day of the appointment I received a call from Bray & Scarff telling me the technician went home ill, and I would have to reschedule my repair. I rescheduled another visit, and took another day of paid-time-off. The technician came, replaced a board, and told me to check on it for a few days to ensure the repair worked. He said he wouldn't charge me for the part until he knew it would repair the oven. Again, the technician was rude, incommunicative, and acted as if we has being inconvenienced to come service my oven. The repair worked for a few days, but then the upper oven failed again. I called Bray & Scarff to schedule a fourth visit. I took a fourth day of paid-time-off to wait for the technician to finally repair the oven. I received a call on the day of the fourth appointment to tell me the technician went home ill again, and that I would have to reschedule for another day to have the oven repaired. I couldn't believe the lack of customer service this company provided me. I had taken four days of my paid-time-off and still my oven was not working. I spoke to a woman at Bray & Scarff and asked her what they were going to do? I did not want the same technician because of his attitude and lack of performance. The woman assured me she was going to put another technician on the job. I insisted they come \"work\" on the oven on my terms since they had already caused me to spend four days of my paid-time-off waiting for them to repair the oven. She promised to call me the next morning by 8:00 am to let me know what she had arranged. I have yet to receive a call from Bray & Scarff to this day, two weeks later! If Bray & Scarff were the LAST company in the DC area who could repair my oven...I would replace it with another brand before engaging them for service! They are the ABSOLUTE worst service company I have EVER dealt with in my decades of home ownership! There is no comparison - a total lack of customer focus, a total lack of professionalism, no follow-through, and a general attitude of being inconvenienced by their customers. In a word...they SUCK! If you are considering using Bray & Scarff - DO NOT! Run at top speed to another service provider for your needs. Theses folks should not be allowed to provide customer service - they don't know how to provide top quality service, and don't care whether they inconvenience their customers!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/md/chevy-chase/bray-and-scarff-reviews-158861.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"CottageCare Leawood","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MD","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"MICHAEL C."},"reviewBody":"It was a disaster. I made a list of exactly what I wanted cleaned, step by step. I wanted the house to be cleaned perfectly for the new owners, and stressed that money was no object. I told them on numerous occasions that I do not care what it costs, I want the house cleaned immaculately from top to bottom. How could you not vacuum the carpets???? The shelves were full of dust, and it was obvious the cleaners were in a hurry to get out and suspected no one would check behind them. I called the manager and told her of my disappointment. She gave me a slight discount, and offered to come back, but I was on my way out of state. Too late. Poor, poor oversight, and if the maids worked for me they would be fired. Kenmore Vacuum Repair reviews from real Angi homeowners in Crownsville, MD
Terry and his team did a great job and did well beyond what we expected. They repaired parts of the wall that we didn't even know were damaged, made everything look perfectly smooth, and even mopped the floors up before they left. We will definitely hire them again for our future needs.

I've been doing appliance repair for 13yrs. Working for some of the top rated Appliance companies in the are. Like TRU, Atech and Mr. Appliance of Howard County. While helping them establish and earn. Their respective, high customer service ratings. I am an authorized servicer for Viking, Samsung and Dacor. If you want an honest and accurate assessment of your Appliance. Acute Appliance is for you.
"After 6 months of usage, our clothes washer needed to be releveled to eliminate banging in the spin cycle. Bill arrived within 2 hours of my posting my request on Angi and took less than a half hour to totally fix my problem. On his way out the door, I casually asked him about an electrical issue I was having with my stove hood and he quickly identified the issue there also and, with my app, ordered a bulb receptacle and scheduled to return next week to repair my second and different kind of problem. I found Bill to be very personable, knowledgeable, and effectice, and who showed up and started solving my problems."

"Home Systems Appliance Repair did an excellent repair on my 18 year old panel-ready 42 inch Built-In counter depth GE Profile Refrigerator. The original GE tech who looked at the leak in the freezer evaporator a year ago, told me the refrigerator was non repairable because the "vacuum pump" retrofit part it needed was no longer available. After paying his $200 visit fee for a 2 minute consultation, he offered me a discount on a new GE refrigerator to fit which had not been built yet. Fast forward to now, GE does have 42 inch built-in counter depth Monogram side-by-side for $12,000 and $2,000 of Kraftmaid panels. Home Systems Appliance Repair cost me $400 to identify and fix a broken heat transfer tab in the freezer evaporator unit. I saved $15,000 - - not bad for paying Appliance Repair for a 2 hour job. They seriously looked and found the problem. I highly recommend Manny (the tech who did the work), and Home Systems Appliance Repair. Susan"

Central Vacs Unlimited is a family-owned business which was started in 1974 and has been under the current ownership since 1997. We are one of the largest dealers of central vacuums and intercoms in the mid-Atlantic area. The showroom is stocked with many of our products enabling customers to "test drive" them before they are installed. We do not subcontract our work. Our own employees do the installations and make service calls. We are not aligned with a single manufacturer like many other companies. In fact, we offer more brands and product choices than virtually any other company. This enables us to provide products which meet the exact needs of our customers. Free estimates are provided on installation of new systems. We offer free technical support over the phone. Often, we help customers troubleshoot and repair systems on their own. Our courteous staff is available six days a week to greet our customers. We welcome an opportunity to work with you.
"Mike came to Annapolis yesterday to repair my central vac. Showed him the unit and then went inside for a short while and then asked him if he carried parts on what appeared to be a well-equipped truck. He said the motor wasn't on the truck; it was already installed. I was amazed. He was punctual, smart. fast and efficient and helped me use the warranty. Couldn't be happier with the service and expertise. Highly recommend."

FAQs for kenmore vacuum repair projects in Crownsville, MD
Common repairs for central vacuum cleaners include motor repair, electrical repair, and blocked filters. Central vacuum motor issues typically come with a burning smell and loss of suction. With these issues, you might need simple lubrication to keep it running smoothly, or for more extreme problems, you could need a motor replacement.
Electrical problems or losing suction strength, might be reasons to swap out electrical components for new ones. However, a local central vacuum repair professional can tell you the best plan of action for your system.
The average cost for central vacuum cleaner repair is $310, though prices can range from $120 to $500. Your total cost will depend on the type of repair needed and the type of central vacuum you own.
A minor motor repair, like lubrication, only costs around $50. However, if you need to replace your motor, you’ll be looking at a much higher price tag with a total of $100 to $500. Other fixes, like electrical work, are charged by the hour, which ranges from $15 to $55per hour.
The answer to repairing vs. replacing appliances depends on the type of appliance, the severity of the issue or damage, and the quality of it. If you’ve purchased a top-of-the-line small appliance, it’s almost always more cost-effective to repair it than to replace it. You should also consider the cost to repair it, though. If the repair cost is more than half the cost of a new version, lean toward purchasing a new one. Your small appliance technician could also help you decide by determining the expected remaining lifespan after the repair.
Small appliance repair costs average around $50to $400, with costs ranging significantly based on the type of appliance, the extent of the damage, the issue, the appliance brand, and the availability of replacement parts. Generally speaking, you’ll pay less for repairs on very small appliances, like blenders and toasters, than you will for microwave repairs. We recommend consulting a small appliance repair technician for a quote before starting the project.
Small appliances typically include microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, food processors, blenders, mixers, slow cookers, air fryers, coffee makers, rice cookers, and any other appliance that can sit on your countertop. Major appliances include refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, washers, and dryers. Some people may include HVAC equipment like condensers and air handlers in this category, too. Small appliances are more of a specialty, so there’s a good chance a typical appliance repair company won’t be able to service and repair small appliances.
