"I had a wonderful experience with Founders Insulation. They were extremely easy to work with. It was easy to schedule an appointment, the gentleman who came out was knowledgeable and polite, and I felt that I received good information and they did not try to sell me something I did not need. Their quote was excellent. The work was scheduled and completed quickly. The installation team was courtesy, thorough, and knew their stuff. They were respectful of my home and went above and beyond. I highly recommend this company."

"I had a full house evaluation. Elite Thermal was able to use that to get me a significant discount. They came and did the service in in one day and then returned a few weeks afterwards to find tune and the leaks that were identified on the follow up blower test. They changed the wrong exhaust fan and then did the right one at no additional charge. I would definitely work with them again. Actually, they have done an evaluation and an estimate on my second home and I expect to have them start soon."

The engineering approach that was recommended by Matt Sera, Atlas BPI engineer was a "best value" approach that insures that the job when completed will be done right the first time and will be stand the test of time.  Matt's use of spray foam to insure complete sealing of air leaks and  a preferred method for vertical surfaces.  The improvements in the house  were immediately noticeable,  No more cold spots in the house and the temperature differential between the floors was reduced to a minimum.   The forced air heating comes on less frequently.

The work was performed on time and on schedule,  The workers were professional and the results were immediate.  The energy audit report was done very professionally.

A well designed solutions provided by a quality BPI energy engineer (Matt Sera), completed by a competent crew makes me a highly satisfied customer who appreciates high quality correctly engineered solutions.

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.

The cost of window installation depends on several factors, including the window type, size, and frame material. Labor rates, the need for custom sizing, and any required structural modifications will also influence the final price.

An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.
