"We had insulation installed a week earlier by Koala. During the insulation, Jasper (insulator) suggested another area that we might consider installing blown-in insulation. We agreed and the second job was performed on Friday, the 24th. Jasper and Richard were on time, the insulation project was well done and they left the area very clean. Would use them again."

"We had a wonderful experience dealing with Ben Marshall. This father and son team repaired several areas of our aluminum siding and garage roof, replaced our gutters, added a leaf guard and painted the whole exterior of the house. They did a superb and efficient job. We are very pleased with the results."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Upgrading insulation in Catonsville can make your home more attractive to buyers seeking energy-efficient features. Enhanced insulation is a strong selling point, especially in older neighborhoods. Documenting improvements—such as before-and-after energy audits or insulation certificates—can set your property apart, increase perceived value, and help your home stand out in a competitive real estate market.

Helpful?

Insulation service projects in Catonsville deliver immediate comfort by reducing drafts and stabilizing indoor temperatures. In the long term, you’ll notice lower utility bills, less wear on your HVAC system, and improved home energy efficiency. Enhanced insulation also helps control indoor moisture and allergens, supporting better air quality and making your home more resilient to seasonal weather changes.

Helpful?

Insulation in Catonsville requires occasional checks for moisture, settling, or pest intrusion, especially after heavy storms. Inspect attics and crawl spaces annually for signs of water damage or compressed insulation. Spray foam should be checked for cracks, while cellulose may need topping up over time. Managing indoor humidity and promptly addressing leaks will help maintain your insulation’s effectiveness for years.

Helpful?

In Catonsville, attics benefit from high R-value blown-in cellulose or fiberglass to handle seasonal temperature swings. For exterior walls, dense-pack cellulose or closed-cell spray foam helps with air sealing and moisture resistance. Basements and crawl spaces should use rigid foam boards and vapor barriers to prevent dampness. Given local humidity, prioritize materials that resist mold and improve overall home energy efficiency.

Helpful?

If your Catonsville home feels drafty in certain rooms, has fluctuating temperatures between floors, or you notice cold spots near outlets and exterior walls, it’s likely under-insulated. Homes built before modern energy codes or with recent additions often have gaps in insulation coverage. Scheduling a home energy efficiency assessment can reveal hidden air leaks and pinpoint areas where insulation service projects will have the greatest impact.
