"Charlie Ornamental LLC did an excellent job with replacing an anchor rail and painting the entire railings. He made the initial meeting on time, performed a review of the issues and gave me a price. When the weather allowed, he completed the job in a timely manner. I would use and recommend him again."

Established in 1959 and incorporated in 1979, Corley Roofing is a family-owned and operated business. John A. Corley was the founder and original owner of the company. His wife Dorothy Corley co-owned & managed the office until she retired in 2005. The company today is owned and operated by the founder's two sons, John D. Corley & Rick Corley. John & Rick manage and administrate the day-to-day operations of the company. Third generation Corleys also actively assist in the family business. Rick's two sons handle the majority of the metal work and John's twin daughters manage the office.

"No problem at all and it was a good service."

Bethesda Collision Repair Center is a one stop shop for all your automotive repairs. We do complete auto repairs and auto body work. 7-10 employees. All repairs done at our shop that has been serving the area since 1977. All body and paint guaranteed as long as you own the car. Come see the difference! We care about our customers and want you to have a great experience at Bethesda Collision Repair Center & Bethesda Auto Service.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Had engine issues that I took to Bethesda Collision. For starters, what was quoted as a 1-Day job turned into a 4-Day job. After charging me approx. $1,600 for the parts/labor involved in the job, they informed me it needed additional engine work – but that it had to be taken to a dealership because they were unable to do that type of work. Was told, however, there wouldn’t be an issue driving the vehicle from the shop to the dealership. Well the car died on me 3x on the 20min drive to the dealership. When I finally got there, car was completely dead. Dealership techs inspected vehicle and said the timing chain/belt work I had just paid for was a) installed improperly and b) parts that should have been replaced during the work were not. These two (in)actions resulted in additional damage being done to the engine compared to when it was originally dropped off. Went back to the shop to seek a refund for the work I had done – explaining what was told to me by the dealership (which they sent me to) – and they would look into it. Received a call 40min later and told that they would not refund any amount. That if there was an issue with the work done on the vehicle, I should have returned it to them and given them a chance to “fix” it (which, I believe is what I just paid them nearly $1,600 to do – or, I guess, not do?). This, despite the fact that they had nearly a week to get it done right the 1st time (and didn’t) and that the car was completely dead. Mind you this all happened around 6:00 PM on a Friday evening – when they close at 6:00 on Friday’s and are closed Saturday and Sunday. Personally, I will never take my vehicle there for any type of service. I encourage you to do the same, unless of course you like to pay a bunch of money to have them not do the job correctly, do additional damage to your vehicle, then give you the runaround and fail to admit they made a problem and/or took on a job they knew they couldn’t handle. ZERO STARS. ZERO RESPECT."

FAQs for wrought iron service projects in Callaway, MD

As with any project or material, installing wrought iron fencing has advantages and disadvantages. Some pros and cons of this fence material include:

Pros

  • Long lifespan with proper maintenance

  • Very durable

  • Aesthetically pleasing

  • Functional as well as decorative

Cons

  • Requires regular maintenance and cleaning

  • Expensive compared to other fence materials

  • Limited privacy

Wrought iron fencing costs about $3,100, on average, ranging from $470 to $10,000 or more, depending on the type of fencing, the length, and any custom design work. You should also consider additional cost factors, such as metal thickness, labor costs in your location, permits, old fence removal, tree or bush removal, land grading, gates, and columns. Wrought iron fence materials cost around $1,925 to $3,500 per project, or $25 to $35 per linear foot.

Installing a wrought iron railing costs about $2,600 on average, depending on the size and your location. Costs range from $700 to $4,600 for most projects. Typically, wrought iron railings cost about $50 to $120 per linear foot, not including labor. Additional cost factors include the material and component costs and any custom work. Different wrought iron railing finishes include:

  • Plain black: $50–$70 per linear foot

  • Galvanized wrought iron: $60–$90 per linear foot

  • Ornamental wrought iron: $60–$120 per linear foot

A wrought iron fence is worth it if the material suits your home’s needs and the cost fits within your budget. However, wrought iron is not the best choice if you’re looking for a fence that increases privacy. However, if you want a fence and a security gate that complements your brick or stone home with a classy, timeless, and elegant look, wrought iron fencing is a good option. As far as the longevity of wrought iron fencing compared to other materials, wrought iron wins almost every time.

A high-quality wrought iron fence should last a lifetime or even centuries. However, making your wrought iron last as long as possible will require regular maintenance as the material is susceptible to corrosion and rust. Maintenance involves cleaning the fence with soapy water every six months and applying a new coat of paint yearly. While you’re cleaning your wrought iron fence, scrub away any rust or corrosion to maintain its look and viability.
