The flooring was very expensive, but beautifully done. However, I would never use this company again. We contacted them over a dozen times to make an appointment for some repair work and a thorough cleaning of the floors that we installed 5-6 years ago. Each time we called, we were told that we would be called back. It has now been over 2 months and we have yet to hear back. We even tried to reach the owner who did call once while out of town. He assured us that he would call once he returned. That has not happened. While the work quality is quite good, the lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. It has left us feeling angry and disappointed in both the owner and the company.

Sam and his guys did a great job and we can definitely recommend them. They worked with us and got the job done on a very tight deadline. We got several quotes from various companies for the job to be done, and we were very happy with our choice of working with Sam, a solid professional and a really nice guy!

The setup went very well. Sam was well-informed & helpful in trying to find a good deal on my flooring. Setting up an appointment was easy. The price seemed reasonable. We confirmed the dates.
...Then no one showed up. When I called, they didn't seem to have a good reason... they'd blamed bad weather a month previous for messing up their schedule, but that would have been an excuse to cancel and set up a new appointment, not a surprise no-show.
Obviously installing flooring isn't a small little side project, so it being delayed without notice would have set up a chain of bad events. To their credit, after an angry phone call or two, they managed to send someone out to do the install... but it wasn't a crew, it was just one guy.
Residential was to install flooring that was nearly identical to what I had in other parts of the house. The similar flooring had only taken a few hours to install and was done by a team. This job took a few days to complete, even though it was less space and the same wood.
I was given a discount for the troubles, but the stress difficulties alone weren't worth it. more frustrating, the install job was sloppy. There are gaps between some of the boards that are wide enough to drop things in. I had hoped that they were temporary and wood would expand, but that never happened. I had spare wood and confirmed myself that the boards fit together tighter... they just weren't installed well.

In the end we were very pleased with results.  Sam was easy to work with, spent a lot of time with us in plotting out the project and was onsite nearly every day of the project to check on things.  There were a few set-backs when the tile installer hurt his hand, and it turned out Sam didn't order enough of one of the sizes of tile so we had to wait while that was being shipped out.  But, he swallowed (or the 3rd party dealer did??) the expedited shipping costs and we didn't pay extra for that.  We just didn't end up with as much left-over tile, but we reportedly received all the tile we paid for, so we were not shorted in that way.  The delays were frustrating, but that is how projects go and you need to be prepared for that.  One of the edges of the foyer area is on an angle and the installed was unable to cut the tile on an angel perfectly, so they had to cover that spot up with a wooden threshold, which is unfortunately, but oh well.   The hardwood installation took a little longer than he anticipated, but it ended up fine in the end.  We love the hardwoods and the tile and we are glad we went with Sam.

I had a rush job that needed refinishing before my new tenants were to move in. Sam and crew not only accommodated my schedule, they also fixed a pesky issue with my floor molding and sanded out some water stains in the laundry closet - all on time. A great job by real professionals! They took a beat up floor and made it a focal point of the place. Highly recommend Sam and Residential Floors! I will certainly use them in the future.

Outstanding work. Completely professional and a great deal for the price. Hiring them again to install hardwood floors and recessed lighting.

They did a great job - except they did not put enough coats.  It appears they did not do an adequate job in buffing.

They were punctual, worked quickly, and did a great job! I had previously called a different floor company who didn't show up for the estimate...then called me a few days later. Glad I went on Angie's List!! They made an old farmhouse look modern and my floors are sturdy. Very Happy!

They were superb. I liked everything about them. They were on time and did an excellent job. They are very easy to work with and are hard workers. They were very conscientious; in fact, there was a little place in my kitchen where they put the stainer and then they put the coating on and it bubbled just a little bit and they are actually coming back next week to completely re-sand and put a new top cover down. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

If you are considering refinishing your floors, do not go to anyone else except Residential Floors!  Before, I called a total of three companies to compare and they were not as competitive and knowledgeable.  Two of them came out to my place and were measuring my rooms with measuring tape and they took an hour and I had to chase them up for quotes.  Residential Floors came out to my house, used this electronic tool to measure the space in less than 15 minutes! Also They came back to me within 2 days with a quote.

The owner, Sam Mardini was very professional, he really knows his stuff. He gave us helpful advice, we had wanted to lay down cork floor in the family room but he advised us against it because that would mean we would have had three types of different flooring on our main floor, and he gave us helpful tips on how to add value to our property.

We had wanted a custom stain for our floors and there was a problem with it because it would not stick on the floors. They say that you can tell the caliber of the company or the people when problems arise and I am glad to say that Mr Mardini took responsibility and re-did our floors until we were completely satisfied with it. I would say that they do live up to their company motto of "Dedication To Perfection".

The team were punctual, they taped up rooms to prevent dust from blowing into the other rooms. However, as dust cannot be completely avoided in a project like this, we noted that the team cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done. We are very pleased with the work that Residential Floors did.  we would use them again in the future for other projects and would highly recommend them to others.

They installed hardwood flooring in 75% of our house. Overall, it went very well. They would fix it if there were any problems and they did not have any problems in fixing any errors.

We had a great experience with Sam Mardini, the owner, and his great team who are experts in what they do. Sam gave us a detailed estimate and gave us suggestions for additional improvements such as sound-proofing which we opted to do and are very happy with. The installation took place right on schedule across a few days. Sam's team was very courteous and was always sure to clean-up their work area every day. They really went the extra mile to make the install as smooth and easy as possible -- and it was! We were thrilled with the results and love our beautiful new floors. We plan to have Residential Floors back soon to refinish the existing hardwood floors in another level of our home and possibly install bamboo flooring in our lower level.
