Autobody Dimensions-Bethesda

This service was performed during holidays and they were short staffed. But they worked hard to keep the schedule and delivered the car to my home.

Professional service. Thorough explanation during initial assessment and regular updates of progress during repairs. The side was damaged in an accident (door, quarter panel, and frame). Came back looking great. Paint match was extremely close. Insurance covered all costs, but costs seem reasonable.

The manager YELLS AT CUSTOMERS... !!! The front desk person was very nice and extremely competent in her job. It was only when she told me my ride to the car rental place was outside, that things started to go south. I went out to the driveway where a car was waiting. Just to be sure, I asked the driver if he was taking me to the car rental office. He answered in a really irritated tone, "No, I'm waiting for Kathy." I looked around and no other drivers were there, so trying to be helpful, I offered to go inside and tell the receptionist. He answered, sounding even more irritated, "No, I've already communicated." Well, I took the hint and looked around, and from across the parking lot, I hear this voice yelling, "Hey! Hey! HEY!!!" (Ok, so maybe that's my ride, I thought.) So I walk over there to where the guy is yelling out of an SUV, and I said, "So are you the guy who's taking me to Enterprise?" and the driver yells -- YELLS -- practically SHRIEKS at me, "NO, I'M THE MANAGER. AND I'M TAKING YOU OVER THERE, WILL YOU GET IN THE CAR???!!!???" I said, "Now, first, you don't need to talk to me that way, and second, we need to drive around the other side of the building and get some things out of my car, ok?" So now that I've called him on it, he rolls his eyes, does this big deep sigh, and puts the SUV in gear, like he's going to just drive around without another word. That's when I had had enough, and I said, "Now, look, I don't know if you treat all your customers this way, but I've just about had enough. Do you want my business or not?" He then started playing like he was an innocent injured party, and said he didn't know what I was talking about. No apology. No acknowledgment of his behavior. No nothing. I said, "Ok, that's enough for me. Apparently you've got too much business, and you don't need mine." Back inside, the receptionist was very apologetic and said, "It makes me sad when customers leave feeling like they've been treated like this," which sounds a lot like she's used to this sort of thing happening. Frankly, I think this poor manager has way too much business. All of us customers are stressing the manager by making him work too hard. Let's all boycott this joint until the manager gets fired, at which time we'll know they can handle our business again. Until then, call me "DONE WITH THEM."

I really trust the dealership to do the very best for my car. The warranty is off so they do charge depending on what needs to be done. It seems like there is a whole list of things that I am not charged for. Because I have a Honda I haven't had too many things done to it. They are really really good. A lot of people tell me I'm crazy because I take my car to the dealership because someone else would be much cheaper. I would rather just get overall constant good maintenance.

The work was scheduled and completed on time, job looks very nice. Happy.

I was looking for a transmission shop and this body shop came up on your list. The location used to be a transmission shop but no more.

Excellent. I was out of the country when I heard that the insurer would not pay what another mechanic was estimating. Autobody Dimensions managed to get the car and paperwork from that mechanic, do the work and haggle with the insurer over the correct work that needed to be done (and correct payment from insurer). All while I was still out of the country. My daughter needed the car to go back to college and they were very mindful to get it done on an expedited basis. I highly recommend this company, and this is my second time using them.

Excellent. Auto Body Dimensions was efficient and highly professional. All of the staff members I interacted with were very pleasant and eager to please.

Bob the service writter was very professional. Bob explained the written estimate and was able to schedule the appointment. There was an estimated (3) day turn around to complete the repairs. However, the job was completed in (2) days and Bob offer to stay a little late so I could pick up the car on the 2nd day. I appreciated the extra care that Autobody Dimensions of Bethesda performed in washing and detailing the car before I actually pick it up. I have taken my cars several times in the past and is never disappointed. Thank you Autobody Dimensions of Bethesda!

Car was repaired as desired and on time. Exterior piece of trim needed to be ordered and installed approximately three weeks after main body work was completed. Do not have any "don'ts"with this company

Incredible. They took care of all communications with the insurance company, including the modification to fix the door dings on the other side of the body. They remained in regular contact with me to ensure I knew what to expect and when. They even asked the insurance company to extend the rental car for a day, because the cold weather might negatively affect the paint if I picked it up too soon after painting it. The only issue I had, if you could call it that, is that the young woman who runs the reception counter rolled her eyes at me when I asked to see the mechanic that worked on my car. Otherwise, perfect. I highly recommend them.

Made an appointment days in advance for a Friday appointment at 9am for a quote. When I arrived, they had no record of my appointment. They told me they were scheduled for the entire day and could not help me. On top of that, they said they did not deal with my insurance. I would never use this shop and am not sure why it has such good reviews.

I dropped off my car and they told me their estimator was not in but would call me with the estimate the next business day. The next business day, the shop called me to let me know that they did not have the ability to complete the repairs, so they needed to ship the car to their sister shop in Frederick. After the Frederick shop received my car, they called me and they estimated it would take about two weeks to complete the repairs. I received a call about 9 days into the repairs letting me know that they would be done the following day and my car would be available for pickup in Bethesda. I went to pick up my car and I could not visually tell by looking at the exterior that the car was damaged. Obviously I don't know if everything was put back together properly on the inside or that all necessary repairs were completed, but I have had no problems with the car since receiving it back. They did use a reconditioned bumper cover, but told me all other replacement parts were new OEM. They gave me the option to use a new OEM bumper cover but it would have cost more. Since the other driver's insurance was paying, I could not get the insurance company to use the OEM and would have had to pay out of pocket.

The crew at Autobody Dimensions was extremely professional, courteous, and timely. They scheduled the estimate at a convenient time for us, worked on our car (during the estimate appointment) for about 45 minutes (at no cost), scheduled the time for the repair work, dropped us off at the subway, and had the work done on time. Most importantly, Autobody Dimensions could have recommended that we change the bracket and bumper completely (at an additional $2,000, at least), but they were able to perform all the necessary work without charging us for work we didn't need. The whole experience was very pleasant (special shout out to Ramiro Gomez for his excellent customer service!).

Everything proceeded smoothly, in an extremely efficient and professional manner. They removed my bumper, repaired the dent, and sanded and repainted the bumper before putting it back on the car. I was amazed when I picked up my car - the car looked better than when I dropped it off. NO hint that any damage had ever happened. They even washed my car for me before I took it home. So happy! Will definitely consider them for any bodywork my car requires in the future.

I have used this body shop in the past and have to say they are top notch. Very courteous, helpful, and take the time to look at your car and listen to the customer. The job was done when they said it would be done. Bob and crew in Bethesda did a great job.

It was several years ago when they patched up our Honda CRX. I can't remember the date. My insurance company paid the bill so I can't remember how much it was.

We were sideswipped by a truck on I-95, scraping the left hand side of our Volvo wagon. We were sent to Autobody Demensions - Bethesda, by our insuraance company. Autobody Demensions was professional, prompt and courteous. The work was well done and perfectly blended in with the rest of the car, which was about 9 years old at the time. I am very pleased with their work.

My car was broken into while parked on a street in DC. Autobody dimensions did a great job repairing the car and making it look like new.
