"Sailo is a very experienced plumber and performed the work servicing my backed up toilet and slow draining tub quickly. He gave me an honest assessment that he could fix the toilet when I mentioned that I was going to replace it and saved me money. He is courteous and timely in his work."

"Had sewer line break..was very impressed with personnel, Mr. Woodrow was very professional in doing a great job in a messy and tricky situation with my sewer line/old home. He took time to figure out the problem with me having no additional help.. never got frustrated - took time of understanding the complications of my old homeâ  s layout.. so yes Iâ  m impressed with my new plumber.. why wouldnâ  t I - proved me wrong..but not really - he told me it was going to be all good!!!.and my pockets arenâ  t hurting too much either-definitely love that!"

"Turned on the AC this morning to find out was blowing hot air, called up a few different companies who wanted minimum 100 bucks to come out blah blah blah, called up Markool and got connected with a technician. The technician helped me troubleshoot the issue, and have me a quick fix that will last until they make it out tomorrow to do the permanent fix. I'll be using them for all my AC needs in the future!"

"Zac called me within 5minutes of me speaking to the call center. He arrived alone when he said he would. We have a well cap that is underground so it must be dug up. Unfortunately I could not remember the exact location so he dug for more than an hour. Finally my husband said to move down the path more Zac found my sons helped remove the 3 foot round concrete cover and pull the pump. Zac did all the work needed and put the pump back . He did above and beyond for us in the rain. Would definitely recommend them."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

The main causes for a leaky toilet flapper include wear and tear or a broken or incorrectly installed toilet flapper chain. If your toilet flapper is torn or deteriorated, it can’t provide a proper seal to keep water from running. Meanwhile, a chain that has come loose, was moved, or just wasn’t installed right can prevent your flapper from fully closing.

If you don’t replace a toilet flapper, your toilet tank will continue to empty and fill repeatedly, wasting water and running up your utility bills. Checking the flapper is a good first guess when dealing with a constantly running toilet. However, if these problems continue after replacing the flapper, you may need to hire a plumber to check and fix any bigger problems.

The toilet should rest 10, 12, or 14 inches from the back wall. As for other clearances, 15 inches is the minimum distance from the flange to any side wall or nearby fixture, including the shower, tub, and sink. Modern codes also require at least 24 inches of clear space in front of the toilet.

If you notice water leaking down the side of the bowl or tank and you don’t notice any cracks in the porcelain, the odds are that it’s condensation. If you notice water around the base of the toilet, this points to a leak. Check for loose bolts. A sewage odor may also indicate a broken toilet flange.

Most toilets have a 12-inch rough-in or hole, but some have 10- or 14-inch holes, which means that not all toilets fit all setups. Knowing how to measure the rough-in is essential, so you purchase a toilet that fits the existing drain hole. It can be costly to have the rough-in moved, and most stores don’t accept toilet returns.
