"The salesman Mike seemed to really know what he was talking about. He recommended running two of my gutter down spouts under the driveway. It seemed like a great idea that no other contractor had mentioned. And with the Angie's List discount they beat the other estimates that I received. During the meeting to pay the down payment we discussed two things. We discussed the start date and agreed on June 30 barring they weren't help up at another job. We also discussed having the utilities marked because a fence company previously hit my gas line. He assured having them marked wasn't needed because they weren't going deep enough to hit any utilities. When the start date neared Mike said that he thought we agreed on a start date for the week of July 7.  I'm not sure where he had this date. We had agreed on June 30th because that was when I returned from vacation. But nonetheless, they arrived on July 2 to start the project. On day 2 of the project while digging out the driveway they hit the gas line. I was extremely displeased with First Impression in that moment. Mainly because my partner and I had asked them three times if they were going to have the utilities marked. I asked at the down payment meeting, I asked again when Mike called to inform me of the start date, and my partner asked John (site supervisor) the first morning they arrived. John and Mike told us there was no worry because they weren't going deep enough. John assured me that it was their fault and they would handle any fines or penalties that would be levied. On July 8 they completed the driveway and walkway and it looks beautiful. Some parts of my grass had browned from their equipment sitting on it for six days and the edges of the driveway they had to put patches of grass back where they had torn it up. They also laid grass seen down where it looked like the grass had died. We are just so happy with the finished product.

"We had a lot of problems, today Fabio and his partner Billy came to our home to save the day. They were wonderful every concern we had they addressed it right. Fabio the "magic-man" he did an excellent job he knew all the problem that was needed to be addressed and he made sure to find all the details and get them right. We are pleased with Fabio the "magic-man" whatever he did. I also like how Fabio made sure the shelf was cut to the right spot while leaving no gap. He also made sure the grab bar cap did not have any gaps too. "Mr. Chapman sent two of his contractors to help me to build two tacks and organize and store all of my personal items on the shelves in part of the basement and garage. The young men worked really hard for 7 hours non stop and they were perfect gentleman who followed instructions very well and they knew exactly what to do. If you need a handyman. I recommend them."

"Painted entire bathroom, put up linen closet wood shelves, put up 2 mirrors, 2 light fixtures, toilet paper holder, hand towel holder, regular size towel holder, 2 robe hooks, had to make a hole for jacuzzi tub to get to motor if we ever have a problem, put in a glass shelf above the tile around the tub, put handicap rail up, put in shower seat, put fixture in shower handle and shower head, tiled entire shower, above the tub, had to move the light switch like half an inch up, put on light switch covers, put up new blinds I had, painted door and put on new door knob.. I think I got it all lol.. It had a lot of little things that needed done, then the tiling, the floor tile was already done except the step to the tub which was a small step. All my sink & tub fixtures were already done. Everything that was put in I already had that we picked out years ago. I wish I could attach photos it's amazing!

Mr. Smith (Bill) was on time for both estimate and work and took better than exceptional effort to leave the area even better than he found it. He was reasonable in pricing, installed per ADA standards, matched existing hardware and explained, from great experience, why we needed to modify the placement of the bars. BTW He was right! "Steven was incredibly courteous and showed tremendous integrity throughout the project. He literally was correcting another man's mistakes, and did so without complaint. Because our first contractor left us in a lurch, we had to renew our permits with the county multiple times, and as a result, our inspectors were (understandably!) tough at each inspection. Several items had to be corrected that weren't originally accounted for, and Steven never once came back and tried to make those repairs our responsibility.

It has been about 14 months since the addition was completed, and when we had a problem with the newly-installed HVAC this week, we called Chevy Chase Remodeling. After only a few quick phone calls, we were set up with someone to come out and fix the problem this evening, after hours. After all the bad experiences with contractors we have had, we were almost surprised to find someone who stands by his word, but we truly have.
