"I very much recommend this contractor! Answers fast, gives extremely fair prices, gives fast appointments AND the show up on time! They are very polite and nice. They also clean up the station after they’re done! I find them reliable, quality work and fairly priced. They also work as long as they need to. For our house they: Fixed the window frames outside because the mortar was broken or eroded and when it stormed outside, it rained inside our house. They changed rotten wood, painted it, cemented places in the brick wall that needed it, put mortar/caulk and sealed 4 windows from the outside. The other project was putting bifold closet doors which included cutting them to size, installing the hardware, and painting them. This was the first time I’ve had to hire someone to fix things around the house that I couldn’t, and I was really nervous. I’m grateful I found Chapin Handyman LLC through Angie’s list! Oh! "Pleasant father and son team, with son taking the lead. They quoted a price to come out and assess, but did not charge for doing so, although we had call them the day of the appointment to remind them of the appointment. They made sure to mention in the initial phone call that they buy and sell houses as well. They came out and once we mentioned that we were soon selling our house, they were more concerned with telling us what repairs needed to be done in the entire house, than with focusing on the repair they were requested to assess. The estimate was for $1500-$8000, depending on if we just wanted the repair of the shower leak or the entire bathroom redone. There was an access panel, which they saw and pointed out at the visit, that could have been an option to use for the repair, but instead their estimate was for the route of repairing through the tiling in the bathroom. We went with a different plumber and got the shower repaired done for under $100."

"Excellent experience from the estimate, explaining the options of shingles, underlament, vent pipe cover, winter guard, etc. All of the workmen were extremely polite and professional. They cleaned up the areas thoroughly each day. Quite a few of the boards in the roof itself were in very bad shape. They brought pictures down to us so that we might actually see the extent of the damage to the bare roof itself. As it turned out they had to replace nearly 500 feet of boards which required a huge pile of scrap each day which was removed thoroughly and a magnet bar was used to find any and all of the nails. I had obtained several estimates. Chevy Chase was not the most expensive nor the cheapest, but my confidence in the company and Steve Depollar grew with each contact. Everything that he had stated about the work, price, employees, clean up, quality of the products that were installed were done even better than he promised. We are moving ahead with other work on the home and definetely will be using Chevy Chase Remodeling. We have already received a proposal for remodeling of a bathroom. The price is very competitive. He has provided us with places to review all of the products we will need and has explained what we need to be aware of in our planing."
