"Don't waste your time because that's all this company will do is WASTE YOUR TIME. I had an appt for 10/20 between 8-12pm. Never got a call, nor a visit. Called to find out why an d was told that they sent a text informing of running late which I never got. Received callback from Nicole informing of non received text stating she would set up visit so that I would be 1st stop. I requested today 10/22 and was assured she personally would call me around 8:30am and tech would be here by 9am. It's now 9:37am and I've again yet to hear from Nicole nor a tech. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME BECAUSE LEN THE PLUMBER SURE WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!"

"I was getting water in my basement every time it rained, Dan helped me rule out other causes and recommended a french drain. Basement has been bone dry ever since. "I hired JES to install a trench and sump system into the basement of a new house I purchased. After the job was completed, I noticed the cellar stairwell was pooling water. They returned and said that they didn't think that the drain was run direct to the sump as it should have been but they needed to open the concrete to verify. I also asked why there was no water in the sumps. They ran tests with water for 2 hours and didn't see water and tried to explain to me that it was expected since the water was running out around the drainage under the foundation. They even had a supervisor try to explain to me over the phone when I questioned it. It took them several weeks to return to fix the cellar drain and sure enough, the pipe was just run to under the foundation and not directed into the trench/sump. A repair team came out and busted up the concrete to correct it. In doing so, they saw that their trench was also not connected to the sumps at all, which is why I never saw water in the sumps and not the mysterious theory they tried to convince me of weeks prior. This is terrible that there is no inspection of work prior to covering it totally with concrete. Or further, there was no physical test of running water in the system to verify the sump works. The repair team that came out were wonderful and did everything correct. After this, I called 3 times and asked for a manager to call me to discuss this and never received a response. The salesman stopped answering my calls. As a note, after spending $30K on this upgrade to my house, it was in worse risk than prior to JES so if you choose them, be careful."

It's hard to find in this 'space'--there are a lot of shady people in basement water damage/repair, and this place exceeded expectations. We've had our repair in place for 4+ years, with only 1 small issue on a wall seam crack, and that was fixed within 24 hours of reporting the issue. Stand up place! "If you’re considering 58 Foundations, do yourself a favor and stop right now. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company to anyone. Their complete disregard for accountability is infuriating. At first, things appeared to go smoothly, but the illusion of competence quickly disintegrated when it came time for the building inspection. The city inspector requires a letter from the project engineer verifying that the work is safe, sound, and compliant with code. 58 Foundations flat-out refuses to provide this basic validation of their work. Why won’t they stand behind their project? Are they hiding shoddy, substandard work? As a homeowner, I’m now saddled with the mess of an open permit and no resolution in sight. This is unacceptable. If a company won’t back their work with a simple letter, what does that say about their integrity—or lack thereof? Didn't expect this kind of run around from a well established professional firm, save yourself the headache."

"Avoid Guardian Basement – False Promises and Poor Customer Service Two years ago, I hired Guardian Basement to fix a water issue on the front wall of my basement. Joel came out, sold me on their system, and guaranteed I would have a dry basement. We also replaced two sump pumps and had the sump well dug deeper. The main selling point was their lifetime guarantee. Fast forward two years, and I have the exact same problem. Every time there is significant rain, water rushes through the same wall. I reached out to Guardian Basement, and Joel scheduled a time to check it out. His tone was completely different this time—defensive and dismissive. Within five minutes, he claimed, “Your system is clogged.” He made this assessment without any real inspection—just by looking at the cement floor and wall. Now, here’s the catch: If you look closely at their so-called lifetime warranty, clogs are not covered. So despite spending thousands of dollars, I’m back to square one. To make matters worse, Joel was incredibly condescending and unpleasant to deal with. After this experience, I looked into their licensing with the state of Maryland and found multiple complaints against them. I am now in the process of submitting my own complaint as well. I would never recommend Guardian Basement to anyone. Save your money and go with a company that truly knows what they are doing and stands behind their work. If I could give them a negative number of stars I would."

I had quotes from other companies including one that gave me a multi-page contract with all kinds of exceptions so one really didn't know the final price, and then I received a quote from Eagle. Gave me understandable quotes that included all I needed. Due to our new septic not being at least 100' from our well, he changed his quote to install a BAT septic system per Baltimore County. His second quote was more than I wanted to spend, but the county had a grant program with funding available that paid for most of the cost of the new tank and its installation. He was usually available when I called or texted. A hard-working person who's actually hands-on."
